I don’t think he’s a bad guy,” McAfee said in a lengthy diatribe. “I think he’s obligated to say something because somebody told him how disrespected they felt as opposed to looking at it from a realistic perspective. Former Brown Joe Thomas on Jeff Saturday’s hiring: ‘Worst thing I can ever remember’ in NFL

“Why did Joe Thomas at that time think he had any right two years ago, three years ago? [head coach]?” McAfee questioned. “Is it because he’s the greatest player they’ve ever had? Is it because they spent years and years and years in that building and saw the good and the terrible in what they were doing? Is it because he knows football so well? Is it because he thinks the NFL knows better?

“Joe Thomas told us on January 3, 2020 that he would throw his name in the hat to be the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns because he was the only one who cared about the Browns. Good show? Or before he gets the chance to be one of only 32 NFL head coaches, in every coach’s face?” Did he say spit? He thought he could do something with the Cleveland Browns that no one else could.”
