CHP officers arrested a woman Friday who they say caused a fiery multi-car crash Windsor Hills 6 people including a child and a pregnant woman died.
Nicole L. Linden, identified by multiple law enforcement sources as a nurse from Texas, is being treated for injuries sustained in the crash after being released from a hospital.
Customers at a Windsor Hills gas station watched in horror as six people died in a fire. Lauren Coronado reports for NBC4 News on August 4, 2022 at 11 p.m.
Linden’s family members also confirmed the arrest.
Public records in Texas show someone with the same name as a registered nurse with a current, valid license.
Kaiser Permanente issued the following statement regarding the accident:
“Everyone at Kaiser Permanente is deeply saddened by Thursday’s tragic accident. The pain that those involved are going through is unimaginable. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. At this time, we cannot comment on what has been reported. A criminal investigation. If there are any further questions about this should be forwarded to law enforcement authorities.”
The high-speed crash happened around 2 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Slauson and La Brea avenues and was captured on a security camera at a nearby gas station.
As of Friday morning The CHP said 6 people died and at least 8 were injured in the crash.
