The team consisting of American golfers Shawn Michaels and Braden Shattuck and New Zealand golfer Steven Algar were the first to field.

Rory McIlroy, Northern Ireland’s world no. The golfer, whose wife is a Rochester native, finished the day at one over par. McIlroy seemed to be the most popular when asked by News 10 NBC viewers.

McIlroy plays in a group with reigning PGA Champion Justin Thomas, who won the Championship in 2017, along with Colin Morikawa, who won the 2020 PGA Championship and The Open Championship in 2021. On Friday, the group will begin at 1:36 p.m. starting at the front nine.
