Williams stated "I honestly felt I'd catch him and knock him out. I give him credit, though; I hit him with some good shots."  All three judges scored the bout 115-113 for Williams.

In the Co Main event, WBC Cabofe and NBA World Champion Sherman "The Caribbean Tank" Williams (31-10-2 17 KO's) Josh Gutcher 18-6 13 KO's) of Albia, IA into a deep sleep at the official time of 1:11 of the very first round. After the fight Williams would comment, "This was certainly one of the best KO's I've scored." When asked about what he wants next Williams stated, "I'm just going to be waiting for the right opportunity, but I'd like a piece of that James Toney - Sam Peter fight."

Featherweight Dominic Coca (6-1 2 KO's) dominated Jorge Cardenas (7-1-2 5 KO's) of Los Angeles, CA over six highly entertaining rounds in which Cardenas met the canvas several times and was also deducted a point for low blows late in the fight. All three judges saw the bout 58-53, 57-53, 58-51. Juan Carlos Santiago battled Baladan Treviso to a 4 round draw in the walkout bout of the evening.
