BRAGGING RIGHTS CORNER'S INNER CIRCLE...
The old Skidone
whammy says Tszyu by TKO - but guess is it won’t be the last we hear of the
Hatton express down the proverbial pike. - George Elsasser
I thought Sharmba Mitchell might outbox
Tszyu, I know that Ricky Hatton won't. I really haven't seen enough of Hatton to
know how or when, and I hope he makes a great fight, but can't go against Tszyu
here.
- Danny Serratelli
I like Kostya in about nine rounds. I think
Hatton will make things rough and will gain some fans with his effort but Kostya
will be a little too much for him.
- Chris Robinson
Tszyu has great power and Hatton takes too many shots, not a
good combination for the challenger. I say Tszyu wins via mid round knockout.
- Mike Leanardi
Ricky Hatton is taking a huge step up, and I feel that it may be a little
more then he can handle. I see Tszyu picking Hatton apart as he tries to get
inside and work the body. Tszyu's speed is very underrated, and it will come
into play. I think Hatton's face may get bloody, and I predict Tszyu by TKO in
the 6th round. - Tom Dickey
The educated man would always go with Tszyu , and the
gambling man with Hatton.. I am a mix of both and sit firmly on
the fence leaning slightly towards Tszyu by way of cuts around
the 9th, and on the way to a win anyhow. Tszyu TKO 9. - Stephen Jones
If the fight is not stopped on cuts in the later rounds then look
for a TKO stoppage as Tszyu imposes his power on the weary Hatton. In the end,
on the Saturday of June 4th,
regardless of who wins this fight, I predict that we the fans will
be the real winners.-
Oleg Bershadsky
Kostya Tszyu wins by KO in 4 after he figures out Hatton's timing.
Since Hatton throws a thousand punches a round, that's a thousand openings for
Kostya Tszyu's right hands to find the mark and finish the show. - Frank
Gonzalez Jr.
Kostya Tszyu by 9th round TKO. This is the first time Ricky Hatton
has faced a top tier opponent that wasn't carefully scouted for him. Tszyu
has seen it all and Hatton will make a good fight of it while it lasts. - Ed
Ludwig
Hatton to be counted out after a series of
Tszyu boy punches before the end of the 6th round. - Darren Yates
Kostya's POWER overwhelms Hatton. After 8 unanswered shots to the
head, Tszyu knocks him unconscious within 2 rounds. - Ricky Ray
Taylorwww.BoxerDRILLZ.com
Tszyu. Between rounds six and seven referee will call a halt to the
bout. Hatton will give a good account of himself early I think, until the
right-hand starts to find its mark on Hatton then his demise will come
shortly after. I think Hatton will suffer a couple knockdowns leading up to
the stoppage.
Jeff Mayweather
Kostya has to much fire power for the
young fighter. I believe Hatton will be champ someday, but not this week.
Kostya relentless pressure will be to much to handle. Kostya by 5th KO.
- Robert Hernandez
Unless Kostya Tszyu suddenly
gets old over night he should have no problem with the young Ricky Hatton. -
Kenny Perrault
Ricky Hatton has been wanting a piece of Kostya Tszyu
for some time. Well, there is an old adage that says 'be careful what you ask
for, you might just get it.' Ricky has gotten what he has been asking for, and
I don't think he will be able to survive the two-fisted thunder Kostya
Tszyu brings to the ring. Until Kostya loses it's hard to go against his
discipline, his skills and his punching power. Tszyu via the short route, mid
to late rounds. - Elisa Harrison
OUR BOXING FRIENDS SPEAK
OUT...
If Hatton lets Tszyu use his boxing skills and stay on the outside, then
it's Tszyu's fight. But if Hatton gets inside and works Tszyu's body, I
think he will win by late stoppage or on points. My pick is Hatton. -
Wayne McCullough -

I like Kostya Tszyu early and late! - DaVarryl 'Touch
of Sleep' Williamson
I pick
Kostya Tszyu for the simple fact that Ricky Hatton tends to jump in with his
chin in the air. Tszyu is a sharp shooter and if Hatton jumps in he will
get caught like Zab did a few years back. If it goes the distance, I still
pick Tszyu to win by unanimous decision. Too much experience. -
Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero -
www.robertguerrero.com
Kostya Tszyu wins by late round stoppage. Tszyu will be too strong for
Hatton, and Hatton will not have the enough firepower to back up Tszyu. -
Ernesto Dallas, Manager, SantanaBoxing.com
This is a no brainer. Kostya Tszyu all the way. I predict he wares him down
by the 7th and knocks him out! -
Noah Lazes, Promoter/Entrepreneur
I like Tszyu in this one, or should I say I am hoping for Tszyu in this
one. I keep getting this gut feeling that Hatton is going to bring more than
most people here expect. He has fought relatively good opposition and has
been active. Tszyu is as complete as they come and my only concern has
been his inactivity. This one may be to close to call but something inside
me says Hatton may out hustle him. - Russ Anber
Thanks for asking... You have a great body puncher in the undefeated
Hatton and a great puncher in Tszyu. The difference in this fight is that
Hatton tends to cut and that is what I see will be the difference in the
fight. Tszyu by TKO after round seven... Rusty Rubin, Managing Editor,
Ringsports.com
Kostya Tszyu will win by late round stoppage in a very tough,
grueling, demanding fight, but in the end his experience and superior skills
will prevail over the youth and strength of Ricky Hatton. - Richard
Dobal, Promoter
I think Kostya wins by KO in the late rounds, 10 0r 11. The Observer
Tszyu in 10! The
referee will be forced to stop the fight, as Hatton takes the beating of his
life.-David Greene/FisticScene.com
Zoo by TKO in the 6th round in a very good
fight....I feel that Hatton's style is made for Zoo who is a great counter
puncher. Zoo will wait till Hatton is in front of him to blow him out with the
RIGHT HAND all night.... Butch 'Big Dog' Sanchez
Hatton is pesky, but Kostya is the man. Tszyu wins! - Craig Goossen,
www.goossentutor.com
When all other long time champions are slowing down and feeling their age,
the 35 year old Kostya Tszyu is as dangerous now, as at any stage of his 14
year career. Kostya is the ultimate athlete whose conditioning and
preparations are the key to his longevity. Power and experience will be the
decisive factors for this master technician. Ricky Hatton with his
impressive undefeated record and exciting fighting style has never faced a
puncher of Tszyu's class. Styles make fights and Hatton's style of coming
forward, smothering his opponents and throwing his punches in combinations,
will leave openings for the powerful Tszyu right hand and ultimately be the
undoing of the young Brit. Hatton will be hit harder than he has ever been
hit before and this is something that you can't train for. Hatton has to
throw his left rip and unfortunately for him, that leaves a dangerous
target for the Tszyu right hand. I like Kostya by KO - Kevin Barry, Professional Trainer & Manager
Tszyu vs Hatton will be a
hard fought battle that will not be decided by the judges. Tszyu will win
by a TKO in the 4th round. -
Jake Hall, Indiana Boxing
Commissioner
I see Tszyu and Hatton going to war. Both men will have their
moments, but the science behind Tszyu's slugging and his big fight
experience should pull him out as the winner. Look for an 8th round
knockout or technical knock-out. - Ricardo Lois, Publicist Joan Guzman
I just think that Tszyu will be bringing Hatton into another level. Ricky
will not be able to successfully cope with the talent of a fighter like
Kostya Tszyu. Boxing is no different than any other sport. It is difficult
to sustain competence as you go from level to level. This is a step into an
unknown ring experience. Kostya Tszyu will win by knockout. -
Elmo Adolph
I think this will be a little bit harder than people
think for Tszyu,
I feel like the 1st couple rounds will be pure excitement and I feel
like Hatton will be expecting the right only to get caught by Tszyu's
left hooks and once the right does land Hatton will stop pressuring
and retreat and in the 9th a cut up, battered Hatton will lose by TKO
on the ropes. - Michael Doss, www.15rounds.com
Ricky Hatton, is a brave, tough undefeated fighter, but Kostya Tszyu
is simply the best. Therefore, he should knockout Hatton around the 10th.
round. - Oscar Borrás, 20 de Mayo
I'm going with Kostya I think he's 2 strong 4
Hatton. - James 'Punisher' Palma
Ricky
Hatton has never been in the ring with such a devastating puncher like
Kostya Tszyu. I will be surprised if it goes the distance. Tszyu will KO
Hatton within 10 - Mario Serrano,
Publicist
Tszyu by late KO - Brian
Tilley
I like
Tszyu by late TKO or decision in a surprisingly competitive fight. - Brad
Goodman, Matchmaker
El ruso viviendo en Australia, debe ganar por cualquier via
basado en el encaje de estilos, y por haber peleado con algunos peleadores de
gran clase que no han cruzado guantes con Hatton, como lo son Shamba Mitchell
y Zab Judah. - Antonio Purriños, La Voz de Miami Beach
Tszyu wins in a tough fight or TKO
- Damon Feldman, Promoter
I am going to pick Ricky Hatton by decision. He is nine
years younger, is undefeated and beat Vince Phillips, who beat Kostya. -
Jackie Kallen, (most successful female manager in the history of the
sport).
