BRAGGING RIGHTS CORNER'S INNER CIRCLE SPEAKS OUT...

  • It's Tito early or late ... but either way it's a win. - George Elsasser

  • Winky Wright will be winning up until he gets caught later in the fight, because he hasn't been using head movement of late. This will change the fight completely, leading to a Trinidad KO in the 11th round. - Aladdin Freeman

  • Winky Wright is a crafty fighter, but Trinidad has too much class and punching power. Trinidad by K0 in 10 rounds.  - Oscar Borrás, 20 de Mayo

  • Winky Wright has had his coming out party but now it is time to prove that he is here to stay.  I see this one going the distance and Ronald "Winky" Wright pulling out a unanimous decision after working his jab throughout the fight.  Call up now to reserve your seat for the Winky bandwagon because space is limited..  -  Tom Cannon

  • I see Wright giving Trinidad some difficulties in the early rounds as Winky's slick style is not tailor made for Felix like Mayorga's. The difference will be that this is the hardest puncher Wright has ever faced and when Trinidad finds his range after a few rounds and lands with power it will throw Wright off his game and we will see Winky resort to survival tactics. I think this will go 12 rounds as Wright has a great defense and a good chin. Unanimous points victory to Felix Trinidad. - Darren Yates

  • I think both of these guys are great fighters, but I have to go with Tito Trinidad.  Trinidad will need to keep a lot of pressure on him for the full 12 rounds.  If it were a 15 round fight I'd bet Trinidad, but even in a 12 rounder the power and pressure should be enough.  Winky will use the jab and an excellent defense to win a good amount of boring close rounds, especially early.   Trinidad can be out boxed, so I think he will have to hurt Winky at some point, and not too late in the fight.  Tito needs to hurt Winky enough to put him in a defensive mode.  If Tito can not hurt him, Winky will out box him and win a decision.  Winky excels at winning the close rounds and has a good chin, but I expect Tito to close the show.

  • Winky by decision. - Jose Hernandez

  • Felix Tito Trinidad by unanimous decision - Danny Serratelli

  • If Mosley had more power Wright would have had problems in the rematch... Trinidad does have that power, and he has finishing power too. I see Trinidad in the later rounds dominating, and getting the decision. - David Kolb

  • My head says that Tito will win by a late round kayo. My heart says Winky hears the final bell but takes real going over in the last three rounds as Felix cements the verdict. - Jim Amato

  • You have to give credit to Felix Trinidad for taking two very tough fights since he resumed his career. Winky Wright is a much different fighter then what Trinidad faced in Ricardo Mayorga. Wright has never really garnered the respect he deserves. The jump in weight will not be a factor for Wright and I see him winning by unanimous decision. - Ed Ludwig

  • Wright versus Trinidad... that's a very tough one to pick because Wright certainly has what it takes to pull this fight off but he will have to raise his level above what he gave against Mosley. I can easily see Wright being well ahead on the scorecards and getting stopped. I look for the upset. Wright keeps Trinidad turning, he wins the fight easy. Trinidad has horrible balance and using angles and keeping him turning is half the battle. The Wright that likes to sit on the ropes and stay in the pocket can very well get kayoed. Yet, I still stick with my first mindset. Wright in a split decision. - Jeff Mayweather

  •
  • I like Winky Wright by decision over Trinidad. The biggest test will be if Wright can withstand a Tito bomb. If he can then it could be a long night for Tito. I think Wright is at the top of his game now, while Trinidad is only in his second fight since his comeback. I think Wright will be too slick for Tito, and not make the mistake that Oscar and David Reid did. - Tom Dickey

  • What a stylistic match up this is going to be. Trinidad is a puncher and relies on being able to hurt his opponents, he wasn't able to hurt Bernard Hopkins and he got out boxed. I don't think he's going to be able to hurt Winky Wright either. Wright has a heck of a chin, is a superb defense fighter and real slick boxer. I think Wright edges Trinidad in a very close decision, I'll even go with a split. - Mike Leanardi

  • Ordinarily, Wright likes to take fights the distance.  That will not be the case on Saturday.  By the middle rounds, Tito will expose the chin of Wright. Tito brings fire power and exposure that no one has been able to bring about.  Tito takes Wright out unexpectedly by round 7 in devastating fashion. - Xavier 'El Mago' Cepeda

  • If Wright can get a knockout, he'll win, but if it's just a matter of his going the distance, Trinidad gets the decision. I could see it going either way. - Jocelyn Saurini

  • Winky Wright by unanimous decision - Kenny Perrault

  • Felix 'Tito' Trinidad will beat a gallant and talented champion in Winky Wright. The key here is going to be Tito's power, and while Wright is an excellent defensive fighter, he did get hit a lot by Shane Mosley. Tito ain't Mosley. Tito takes this one, more than likely via the short route. - Elisa Harrison

OU
R BOXING FRIENDS SPEAK OUT...

  • That’s a good, exciting fight. I won’t miss that one. Felix looked good in his last fight but I would have to give the edge to Wright because of his overall ability. His defense is great and he can be offensive too. Felix’s chin and defense have always been questionable. - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Champion Glen 'The Road Warrior' Johnson

  • I think it is a very even fight, but of course I'm going with Trinidad to win the fight, but it won't be an easy fight for him." - Miguel Cotto, WBO Jr. Welterweight Champion (Special thanks to Fred Sternburg, Publicist)

  • Winky Wright is just a great boxer. He’s also pretty big for that weight. He’s a slick southpaw who knows how to step to the side and set you up with his jab. Trinidad, to me, is just a big puncher but he takes a lot of punches in return. He takes a lot more punches than people think. Against Mayorga he took a lot of shots. I went back and watched their fight again with the sound off and I saw a whole different fight. Mayorga landed a lot of punches in that fight. Trinidad shouldn’t have even gotten hit with 10 punches. If he does that against Winky Wright he’s going to take a beating. If he doesn’t catch Winky early he’s going to get punished. - Robert 'The Ghost' Guerrero, NABF Featherweight Champion

  • Tito is an elite fighter.  There is nothing new under the sun to shock him.   He has seen all kinds of styles.  That is why he is such a great fighter.  I give it up to him.  I can see Winky boxing Tito’s ears off for 12 rounds and taking a decision, but if he gets cocky, Winky will be kissing the floor. - Zab Judah

  • Tito  wins by decision in a close fight, that can go either way. - Jose Perez,  Jr.

  • My final pick is that they’re two great fighters in the ring, and someone’s gonna have to win, but I couldn’t tell you which one it is. - Jermain Taylor

  • I think Winky is going to shock a lot of people. I think he’s going to go out and beat Trinidad. Not talking down on Trinidad, he’s a great fighter, but Winky loves being the underdog and he loves proving people wrong. - Jeff 'Left Hook' Lacy, IBF Super Middleweight Champion

  • I wouldn't bet on it but I will go on somewhat of a limb and pick Winky Wright to win a 12 round decision over Tito. Basically I think Winky and his physical size and strength are somewhat underrated and I think that his southpaw style along with his jab is going to give Tito and his particular style a lot of trouble. If there is one thing that has always proven to be a problem for Tito it is an opponent with a good jab, ala  De la Hoya and Hopkins, and I think Winky's jab is as good as theirs. The southpaw stance is a factor, too. My feeling is that Winky will follow a very disciplined, strategic plan and box his way to a solid, probably boring, unanimous decision win. The thing that will keep the fight and the viewers in high anticipation is that Tito will never stop trying and will always give you the feeling that he is one punch away from changing the course of the fight. -  Ice John Scully, www.IcemanJohnScully.com

  • Winky Wright all day long! Great defense, super skills, sharp shooter and southpaw, nuf said! -  DaVarryl "Touch Of Sleep" Williamson
  • I will go with Winky Wright over Trinidad because Trinidad has problems with boxers. My guess is that Winky will make it an easy night and box Trinidad. Also, if Winky had to fight Trinidad up close, Winky is one of the best defensive fighters in the sport today. I see this fight being a hard fight for Trinidad to win. - Jerson Ravelo

  • Trinidad is very good at punching behind the gloves.  He has a special talent for guiding his hand on to the target.  Winky likes to block a lot of punches with his gloves and that could spell danger with a hard puncher like Trinidad.  If Winky moves and boxes he has a good chance, however if he fights as he usually does I see a similar fight to Trinidad and Reid.- Dmitriy Salita

  • I pick Trinidad to stop Wright! Do I favor a puncher, yes, but I think he breaks Wright down. - Donny Lalonde

  • Trinidad is the winner. - Jaime 'Punisher' Palma

  • Wright will prevail over Trinidad in a close, tough fight. - Elmo Adolph

  • I think I like Felix Trinidad by decision. However, I believe it will be much tougher than what most people think.  - Russ Anber , Host of TSN's 'In This Corner'

  • Tito hits hard and is extremely accurate with his punches, he will put pressure on Winky as never before,  experience and power coupled with punching accuracy will give Tito a win by decision. - Jorge Alonso

  • Winky  Wright is a very good defensive fighter and a great boxer and will win a unanimous decision over Tito Trinidad. -  Jacob E. Hall, Indiana Boxing Commissioner

  • That’s going to be a real good fight. I don’t know if Winky Wright can take Trinidad’s punches. Trinidad is a different level of a power puncher compared to everybody else. I think Wright is going to try to box Trinidad but at times he’s going to have to stand and trade because he can’t look like he’s running from Tito the whole time. He’s going to have to exchange at some points but for the most part I think he’s going to box him. I’m leaning towards Trinidad but I’m not sure. Winky Wright is tough and he has skills. He’s crafty. That one could go either way. That’s a real good fight, a good match. - David Estrada

  • As far as Felix Trinidad vs. Winky Wright goes, I think that Felix Trinidad will win. I like how he boxes and his big left hook. He’s another very smart fighter and he’s very conditioned. I just feel like he’s a bit more seasoned than Winky. I take nothing away from Winky, he’s a good fighter, I just think that Tito will be too much for him. - Sechew Powell

  • 'The only prediction I could have on Felix Trinidad vs. Winky Wright is that it’s going to be a great fight. Trinidad has a lot more experience than Winky. It’s a hard fight to call. I think I would go with Tito because of his punching power. All of his punches have an edge and at that last moment he can still end a fight with one punch. I’d have to give Tito an edge in that one. I don’t think it’s going to go the distance. - Yuri Foreman

  • ‘I think the hardest southpaw in the world right now to hit is Winky Wright. He’s one of the most elusive guys in the business. You can’t hit him clean and he’s so hard to hit. I think he’s going to beat Trinidad. People don’t give him credit where it’s due.' - Diego 'Chico' Corrales

  • I think Winky is going to surprise a lot of people. My belief is that he’s going to bring something out of his hat and come away with the win. - 2004 Olympian Andre Berto

  • I feel that it's going to be a great match. Not too many people probably have their hopes high on Winky Wright because they’ve seen Trinidad do it all. [Trinidad] has been in the ring with the best and fought all kinds of different styles of opponents and he’s proven himself. I think styles make fights and Winky being a southpaw could help. I just look at both fighters and their fundamentals and I have to give Trinidad the edge. Trinidad has proven himself against guys the caliber of Winky Wright. Trinidad has seen guys with Wright’s size, strength, speed, and he’s fought a lot of southpaws too. I just feel that he has the edge. - Roberto Benitez

  • I know Winky personally so I’m pulling for the Florida team. I think Winky has the perfect style for Trinidad. He’s real strong, he’s quick in his own right. He’s a southpaw and I think he has a good style to go up against Trinidad. - Chevelle Hallback

  • Tito is too big, too powerful.....he wins by 8th round TKO. - Bob Trieger, Publicist

  • Wright by decision. - Howard Sirota, Chairman/Founder Boxingranks.com

  • Trinidad by KO - Jose Martinó,  President, Boxeomundial.net

  • Felix "Tito" Trinidad TKO 10 Winky Wright - Very tough fight for Tito. The Puerto Rican superstar will have trouble early with the master boxer that is Wright. The unidisputed junior welterweight champions' career is at it's peak after two very convincing wins over Sugar Shane Mosley. This time he has his work cut out for him, as he faces one of the hardest punchers in the history of boxing. Very few times do you see a man with such debilitating power like Trinidad. Quoting Drago's manager in Rocky IV, "Whatever he hits, he destroys." I don't know if Tito's power measures 1850 pounds, but he has made strong men look weak with his power. I expect Wright to outbox Trinidad and win most of the early rounds, but as soon as Trinidad figures him out, he will be able to stop him. Wright has never faced someone with the power that Trinidad possesses, and he'll be fighting at 160. Hopkins was able to handle Trinidad pretty easy, but he not only beat him with ring skills, but also with mind games. Hopkins is also a stronger guy than is Wright, so the result will not be the same. I'm picking Trinidad to stop Wright in 10, and in no way will it be a shameful loss for Wright because I expect him to perform real well. - Armando Alvarez, Maxboxing.com

  • I like Winky in a 12 round decision. - J D Brown

  • Wright's style is all wrong for Tito. Trinidad will pound him to the body and eventually the head will fall. Tito by lopsided decision, but competitive decision. Wright to clever to get knocked out. - Yosvani Oliva, Editor, Boxeomundial.net

  • “Felix showed in the Mayorga fight that he had benefited from the time away the ring. Trinidad has one of the best straight rights in boxing and with his balance, combination punching and ease at which he puts the left hook behind the right, I can see it being a difficult night for Winky. Winky's style of fighting, in the zone, will be the undoing for him in this one. He doesn't have the power to really get Felix’s respect and is stepping up to 160 where Felix is the real middleweight. Felix, with this win, will be one step closer to a mega fight rematch with Hopkins.” - Kevin Barry, Professional Trainer

  • Winky Wright by decision. - Scott LeDoux

  • Winky has proven to be a gifted and difficult fighter to beat, but Tito has proven to be GREAT. I gotta go with Tito Trinidad! - Craig Goossen/Goossen Tutor Promotions

  • I like Wright to out box Tito in a close but unanimous decision. Mario Serrano, Publicist, www.josecelaya.net www.robertguerrero.com

  • Felix picked the wrong man this time. Wright unanimous decision. - Chris Thorne

  • I'll go with the boxer over the puncher.  "Winky" Wright is one of the finest, pure-boxers today and should be on everyone's "pound for pound best" list. Trinidad is an awesome fighter, great puncher, and a deadly finisher when he hurts his opponent. I don't think Wright will give Trinidad too many opportunities to display all his powers.  Winky won't fight the perfect fight for Tito - as did Mayorga.
Wright will use all his skills to gain advantage, frustrate Tito and eventually control this fight - which will not be the fight of the year-type fight that most fight fans are anticipating.
Ronald "Winky" Wright unanimous decision win over Felix "Tito" Trinidad.
    -
Mike Indri, Retired Boxers Foundation (NJ State Representative)
  • Winky over Tito. I think Winky will hurt Tito. - Phil Weinstein

  • Wright will try and imitate B. Hopkins and Oscar de la Hoya's strategy of moving around for 12 rounds... But the problem with this is that Wright does not have Oscar de la Hoya footwork or Bernard Hopkins height.. He also does not have the punch that either of these guys carries so he will not be able to pull it off..... I can't see this fight going past the 9th before Tito's power and boxing ability gets the best of Winky...  This fight gets stopped before the 10th. - Chris Lee
