Isn't everybody just DIGGING technology?

Alright, I think I finally get it. Evidently, Saturday's big bout at the Garden will be aired in unison with another big showdown in Youngstown, Ohio.  The Pavlik-Rubio fight will be shown on the big screen in the Garden while the Cotto and Jennings card is going down.  In turn, the Cotto-Jennings fight will be shown in the Youngstown arena amidst the screaming Pavlik fans who are there to watch his bout with Rubio.

Both fights will be shown worldwide on PPV in subscribers' homes throughout the world.  Bob Arum did his best to explain this PPV milestone at today's final presser in NYC's Wamu Theatre.

The first fight on telecast will be of a young Russian fighter who built a bit of a legacy in his home country.  Matt Korobov was a two-time world Middleweight Champion in the amateurs.  After posting an amazing 310-11 record as an amateur, Top Rank was quick to pick him up in the hopes of stuffing their pockets with his future.  As an amateur, Matt fought at least a couple times a month and his loss in the Olympics was his first defeat in 5 years.  As most fighters making their American debut from over there - he looked serious, Ivan Drago serious.

"The Million Dollar Baby" Maureen Shea, 13-0 is building a following in the New York City area and is certainly a fresh piece of eye-candy at these pressers.  I've yet to see her fight as a pro, but if her fists blaze as furiously as her looks (she's pretty hot!), then she should have no problem dispensing of Kina Malpartida.

Matt Vanda immediately apologized (again) for his second outing with Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. (his last fight).  Vanda stated that due to an injury he'd only gotten in 3 rounds of sparring in preparation for that fight.  For this fight, however, he said he's sparred close to 100 rounds and especially hopes the crowd is hostile - because it makes him fight stronger.  Given the reports I've heard from his first fight with Julio Cesar Chavez in Mexico City, he's telling the truth.

Former two-division world champion MIGUEL COTTO, from Puerto Rico, and his opponent, top-rated contender MICHAEL JENNINGS, from England, will have their Official Weigh-In. Friday, February 20 at 2:30 P.M. The Cotto vs. Jennings / Pavlik vs. Rubio, two-city world championship doubleheader will take place Saturday, February 21, at Madison Square Garden and Chevrolet Centre, respectively, and broadcast Live on Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9 P.M. ET / 6 P.M. PT.

The combined speaking time between Duddy, Cotto and Michael Jennings lasted approximately :40 and was encased with "hellos," "thanks," "can't wait."

Sorry, but no threats or clinched-teeth stare downs on this day. Everyone looked like they're tired of all of the FLUFF and are ready to FIGHT.
