Here are my evaluations and personal scores of a few fights - round by round - as I sat ringside at last night's surprisingly spectacular fight card at the Garden:

WILL GRIGSBY vs ULISES SOLIS

Round 1/ It's all about Solis' quick counters and early dominance.  Grigsby leaning forward, lunging and very ineffective: Solis

Round 2/ Solis' right eye begins to bleed.  Grigsby succeeds with quick counters and a few long right hands find their mark: Grigsby

Round 3/ Grigsby stalking and becoming more dominant.  Solis is landing with lead uppercuts as Grigsby lunges in but Grigsby still lands several effective shots bludgeoning Solis face more: Grigsby

Round 4/ Solis turns momentum this round considerably, landing with much more frequency and stalking more.  BIG shots land.  Solis finds his jab.  Grigsby looks like he's already fading while doing a poor job of taking the round off:  Solis

Round 5/ Good body shots from both during the first minute.  Solis loosens up, with his hands down and on his toes.  Another round off by Grigsby: Solis

Round 6/ Both swing wildly and miss during the first minute.  With Solis' hands lowered he begins to eat solid 1-2's but seems unfazed.  Close round but Solis lands cleaner shots from a more effective range.  Grigsby's shots are smothered more and he doesn't land quite as many: Solis

Round 7/ Uppercuts begin to find their mark by Solis.  Nice counter uppercuts land.  Solis' face begins to open up again and though his face is bleeding profusely he ends the round with a big flurry, possibly stealing it on some cards: Solis

Round 8/ Grigsby works on Solis' eye with solid jabs scraping the side of Solis' face.  Ref finally steps in to look at Solis' eye with the doctor - SO MUCH blood.  they resume and the non-existent jab from Grigsby for the first 7 rounds opens the way for a few lead rights to sneak their way in: Grigsby

Round 9/ Solis' hands are low, moving head much more now but his hands are to his waist and he's eating jabs.  Solis lands LONG right and nice uppercut but Grigsby is unfazed.  More big shots by Solis and Grigsby forgets his jab again.  Grigsby lands a few shots towards the end but a little too late to  win the round: Solis

Round 10/ Solis' mouth opens considerably, bleeding terribly now but is still landing big shots on Grigsby.  Grigsby stays in there with Solis but seems to be waiting too long for counter shots and loses the round: Solis

Round 11/ Big right by Grigsby opens the round.  Solis is smothered with grease to stop the bleeding.  Another big right by Grigsby - and another and another: Grigsby

Round 12/ Both eyes bleeding now.  Rights landing with much more fire for Grigsby.  Big shots land by each fighter with Grigsby having a slight edge: Grigsby

*At the conclusion of the bout EACH fighter raises their hands thinking they won.  I had it 7 rounds to 5 for Solis.

**Boos emanate from crowd as SOLIS WINS unanimous decision.**

JAMES WEBB vs MARK SUAREZ

* Either James Webb went further and arose faster than ANY paper tiger in the last 8 years OR James Webb went further and arose faster than ANY paper tiger in the last 7 years.

**1st round KO for Suarez over Webb**

JEAN MARC MORMECK vs O'NEIL BELL

Round 1/ Mormeck STUMPS up and allows Bell to work from the outside and Bell succeeds at doing so.  Not much from Mormeck this round but comes swinging hard at the end to perhaps STEAL the round on some cards - but not mine: Bell

Round 2/ Big shots from Mormeck sends sweat flying - out goes the mouthpiece, out of the ring and unto the floor.  Action resumes and more of the same, outside attempts from Bell are smothered by Mormeck's aggressiveness.  Mormeck is quite noticeably stronger and busier this round: Mormeck

Round 3/ Short, tight hooks by Mormeck begin to punctuate his DOMINANT strength advantage.  Bell is forced to show his resilience: Mormeck

Round 4/ Mormeck is keeping the fight in the trenches and showing success coming up the middle of Bell's long arms.  Bell already looks sluggish.  Mormeck lands heavy body shots and seems to double Bell's composure down at times.  Bell's resilience is tested again: Mormeck

Round 5/ Bell comes out fighting good from the outside and finally tying up when Mormeck gets close.  Halfway through the round Bell is winning and lands a very obvious low blow - ref says nothing - Bell keeps distance well.  Mormeck tries to rally but it's a little too late: Bell

Round 6/ Bell seems to have found success sticking and moving and staying out of the trenches.  Mormeck lands big shots.  Though Bell boxes nicely it isn't enough to overcome the big shots from Mormeck: Mormeck

Round 7/ Bell must have completely lost his legs because he insists on staying close with the obviously stronger Mormeck.  BIG RIGHT lands by Bell and hurts Mormeck.  Mormeck wobbles with his hands down and reels the entire rest of the round: Bell

Round 8/ Mormeck still looks hurt but recovers as the round progresses though his gas is considerably drained.  Bell lands big shots.  Bell simply outworks Mormeck to win the round: Bell

Round 9/ Bell lands BIG right to start the round and continues to out hustle Mormeck who looks for the BIG shot and keeps loading up.  Mormeck lands with much less frequency now.  Bell finds his legs again and shows glimpses of attempting to box and again outworks a fatigued Mormeck to win the round: Bell

Round 10/ Mormeck is showing flashes of the tight hooks that won him the early rounds, though they are few and far between.  Bell keeps the same lanky pressure throughout - keeping Mormeck on the ropes, BATTERING him down & out with numerous shots to the head and body.

* I had Bell ahead 5 rounds to 4 at stoppage.

**Bell KO10th over Mormeck**

ZAB JUDAH / CARLOS BALDOMIR

Round 1/ Baldomir lands 2 or 3 out of maybe 50 punches thrown.  Zab lands at will & demonstrates exceptional speed and power over his opponent while scoring enough to win the round: Zab

Round 2/ Zab's speed makes Baldomir look like he is in slow motion and not even trying.  Baldomir does well to stay in and make it somewhat awkward for Zab to land clean shots.  Zab misses plenty but still does enough to win the round due to Baldomir equally ineffective shots: Zab

Round 3/ Baldomir show success lunging in with hooks but still eats too many clean shots to win the round: Zab

Round 4/ Baldomir lunges across the ring attempting to land his hook, misses and rolls across the canvas.  Boos escalate from the crowd as neither fighter takes control.  Baldomir steps in with a solid 1-2 a few times.  Too much "cat and mouse" from Zab & not enough LION: Baldomir

Round 5/ Zab starts picking Baldomir from the outside with speed and potshots that find their mark.  Baldomir's   steady rhythm is being timed by Zab with nice accuracy this round: Zab

Round 6/ Baldomir lands a LONG right -his best of the fight- but it's still "much of the same" with Zab's speed and pitty pats.  The boos from the crowd beginning to deafen any other excitement in the arena.  No power shots landing and Zabs dominance just makes us want to see a knockout so we can go home: Zab

Round 7/ Zab gets NAILED early!  The crowd awakes and ERUPTS with cheers now.  Baldomir stalks and bombs at Zab throughout the round.  Big round for Baldomir who has Zab on wobbly legs. Judah heads to the WRONG corner upon hearing the bell.  Two point round for Baldomir: Baldomir

Round 8/ Zab reels.  Now the cat and mouse game has switched roles.  Baldomir stalks and Zab reels.  Baldomir keeps his constant rhythm and due to Zab's "survival-mode offense" the Argentine wins the round:  Baldomir

Round 9/ The maneuverability is about half for Zab of what it was the first 5 rounds.  He is still visibly shaken from round 7.  Zab's offensive output is almost nothing now and not enough to match Baldomir's constant barrage of power shots.  Zab's hands are noticeably higher now and he is much too cautious to win the round: Baldomir

Round 10/ Zab is OFF his stool in :30 and is looking to straighten up Baldomir with an outside jab.  He seems to be elusive enough with his jab to sneak in power shots from the outside: Zab

Round 11/ An overly cautious Zab is highly aware of Baldomir's  winging punches yet peppers him with his fast jab.  Zab proves to be so far beyond Baldomir's natural talent that he wins the round - - without really doing much of anything else: Zab

Round 12/ Baldomir swings for the fences and Zab punishes him with quick peppering jabs and pitty pats.  Much of the same for Zab with a few power shots riddled in from each fighter.  Baldomir shows how much he smells victory and raises his hands :05 before the final bell: Baldomir

*With the two points given to Baldomir in round 7, I have it a draw.

**Baldomir wins a very close but UD 12**
