Former Heavyweight Champion Lamon
Brewster returns to the ring in August at the Cincinnati
Gardens. Brewster's company and Cincinnati businessman
Andrew Williams will bring another night of boxing action to
Cincinnati.
The former WBO Champion will headline the
August 30 card. This will be a great night for Cincinnati
boxing fans to get a glimpse of greatness as Brewster
returns to the ring. Brewster has had an impressive career,
trading punches with some of the top names in the sport.
Back in 2004 Brewster upset Wladimir Klitschko stopping him
in the fifth round to win the WBO Championship.
Lamon Brewster defended his championship
with class for two years until losing by unanimous decision
to Sergio Liakhovich. Like a true champion, Brewster slugged
it out suffering a detached retina in the first round of the
fight which lead to his defeat.
Ohio is rich in boxing talent with some
of the biggest names in the sport. Other Cincinnati fighters
on the card that evening will be Adrien Broner, Branʼdon
Bennett, Robert Dula, and Ravea Springs.
The Cincinnati Gardens will be a perfect
platform to showcase the local talent while providing ample
room for the Cincinnati boxing fans. Lamon Brewster, (33-4,
29 KOs), will be a great drawing card for the Gardens which
currently does not host any sporting teams.
