ZAB JUDAH: 'FLOYD IS SCARED OF ME...' By Elisa Harrison |

Reliable sources have told us that the only thing holding up a serious date
between phenoms Zab 'Super' Judah and Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather Jr. is what
Team Judah refers to as 'Mayweather's fear' of the Brooklyn southpaw.
According to Judah's camp a ten million dollar purse is on the table, and
Team Judah claims to have cleared all the hurdles on their end, hoping to make
the fight a reality in 2006. The terms are very simple: either a 50-50 split,
or a 60-40 split, with Mayweather getting the major share and Judah not
risking his belts.
Yoel Judah, as well as Judah's promoter's
Don King, have expressed every confidence that a
meeting between Zab and Floyd Jr. will never go to the judges. Team
Judah is oozing with confidence, and they now await Mayweather's move.
"Hey Floyd, put your signature where your mouth is," say the Judahs.
Pretty Boy, we ask, what says you?
Meanwhile, Zab Judah continues to train in preparation for his mandatory
title defense against
World Boxing Council No. 1-ranked contender Carlos “Tata” Baldomir.
Legendary promoter Don King returns to the Theater at Madison Square Garden to
promote this extravaganza that includes a total of 3 title fights, two of
which are for undisputed world championships.
Zab Judah vs 'Tata' Baldomir is the headliner while
World Boxing Association and WBC cruiserweight champion Jean-Marc Mormeck and
International Boxing Federation champion O’Neil “Supernova” Bell will meet to
determine the undisputed champion at the 200-pound weight limit. On January
7th these co-featured main events will be televised on SHOWTIME at 9 p.m.
ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).
The remaining world title fight showcases IBF junior flyweight champion
Will “Steel” Grigsby defending his crown against IBF No. 1-ranked contender
Ulises “Archie” Solis. There will also be an IBF bantamweight elimination
bout featuring Gernaro “Poblanito” Garcia facing Ricardo “Chapo” Vargas for
the No. 1 ranking. 12-21-2005
