Kermit Cintron returned to his winning ways, scoring a very impressive 10th  round TKO over David Estrada (18-3, 0 KOs) this Wednesday night at the beautiful and spacious Palm Beach Convention Center in Palm Beach, Florida. The card was promoted by Bobby Bostick Promotions.

This fight was simply brutal, as the men tried their best to annihilate each other, holding nothing back, and certainly giving the crowd their money's worth.

In the end it was not to be for the local favorite, David Estrada, who seemingly ran out of steam and eventually got caught by a crushing right hand to the temple that sent him to the canvas in very bad shape. Somehow Estrada managed to beat the count, and was observed closely by referee James Warring who stopped the fight seconds later when Cintron connected several clean, accurate power punches to a hurt and dazed Estrada. The official time was 1:13 of round 10 of a scheduled 12 rounder. At the time of the stoppage the official scorecards looked like this: 85-86 | 84-87 | 84-87 for Cintron.

With the win Cintron earned the IBF's #2 spot, his record now at 26-1, 24 KOs.

On a sad note we must report that David Estrada became ill while in his dressing room, and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown at the time of this report. However, ringside physicians felt that Estrada had to have suffered at least a concussion, possibly something worst. We pray that won't be the case...

All of us at BRC wish the courageous David Estrada a very speedy recovery. We will continue to update our readers on Estrada's condition.
