More Fight Coverage...
THE GOOD - THE BAD ---
THE STUPID... by George Elsasser
The Florida Boxing
Commission earns the dunce cap - sanctions (and lucked out) a Cruiserweight
bout pairing Dale Brown (34-4-1, 22 KO) with Dennis McKinney (27-35-1, 13 KO)
- the 35 debits is no typo kiddos...
Red flag missed, had anyone bothered, the four Brown losses were to
quality opponents IBF champion O’Neil Bell in a squeaker, KO losses to
past champion Vassiliy Jirov, current WBA/WBC champion Mormeck, and
Wayne Braithwaite.
Then we have McKinney, one win among his last eight outings - somehow it
goes the distance with Brown in a tune-up decision win - could well have
ended in a how did that happen kinds finis.
A closing question for the Florida Boxing Commission to field could
fairly and appropriately be, "The buck stops where?"
BOXEO FRIDAY NOCHE CARD
A SIZZLER... by George Elsasser
Bantams Rey Bautista, Gerardo Espinoza, Super feathers Fernando Trejo,
Urbano Antillon, along with a special 4-rounder featuring Jorge Paez Jr.,
opened the pre-Christmas weekend with a sizzling offering for fight fans in
attendance.
DANNY WILLIAMS UPSETS AUDLEY HARRISON...
Gritty Danny Williams defeats the
previously unbeaten 2000 Olympic super heavyweight champion Audley Harrison
via split decision. The judges scored the bout 116-113, 116-113 Williams and
114-113 Harrison, in what was billed as the biggest all-British heavyweight
fight in decades. Danny Williams, who managed to put Harrison down in the
10th round, becomes the Commonwealth heavyweight title holder.
WHO YOU GONNA CALL? GAMALIEL DIAZ 'GHOST'
BUSTER!...
by Kenny Perrault
Coming into
tonight's fight,
Gamaliel Diaz was an unknown fighter with a 19-5-2 (9 KO's) record;
after 12
rounds of boxing he became the NABF featherweight champion. The former
NABF
champion and the man Diaz beat was hot 16-0 prospect Robert "The Ghost"
Guerrero.
MATTHYSSE USA DEBUT A
SMASHING SUCCESS...by George Elsasser Last noche’s Golden Boy Productions over HBO Latino, introduced its most
recent property in Argentine Walter Matthysse - and in a wham-bam - thank
you ma’am, USA debut - you guessed it, another star is born...
The rangy Matthysse ( 23-0, 22) faced a willing Xavier "The X-Man"
Tolliver (20-4,14) that clearly had thoughts of upsetting the proverbial
apple cart as he quickly brought the action to the methodical in style
visitor.
ARTHUR ABRAHAM BECOMES NEW IBF MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION... Arthur Abraham stopped Kingsley Ikeke Saturday night in Leipzig Germany to
become the new IBF middleweight champion. Ikeke was crushed and on his way to
the canvas when referee Samuel Viruet stopped the bout, 1:36 into round 5.
In other action, former WBO heavyweight champion Henry Akinwande won a twelve
round decision over Ed Mahone, and unbeaten featherweight Bernard Dunne (18-0)
scored a sixth round KO over Marian Leondraliu.
DIAZ AND PALYANI FIGHT
TO A DRAW IN INDIANA...
The main event between lightweights David Diaz and Ramazan Palyani went the
distance of 12 rounds, with both fighters giving their best effort, hoping
to capture the vacant IBA lightweight title. It was not meant to be, however, as
the judges scored the exciting fight a majority draw, 114-114, 113-115 (Palvani),
114-114. Palyani remains undefeated with a record of 11-0-1, 5 K0s, while Diaz
moves to 29-1-1, with 16 stoppages.
GREEN AND MUNDINE TAKE
CARE OF BUSINESS...
by Mark de Mori
We found out that Danny can box on the back move for
ten rounds using a stiff jab and occasional combination, and that
Mundine can come out with guns blazing to finish an opponent instead of
jabbing and running. So we saw two guys box totally different to what
they have done all their careers, and they both fought opposition that
where the exact opposite style wise to what they will face when they
finally get it, on sometime in the next six months at a still undecided
venue.
WILLIAMS THE 'PUNISHER'
CONTINUES UNDEFEATED... by George Elsasser
Last noche’s Sho-Box co-feature to the
Guerrero-Diaz NABF title fight saw welterweight Paul "Punisher" Williams
continuing undefeated at 28-0 with 20 arriving via stoppage, with a round five
knockout over Alfonso Sanchez who drops to 20-4-1, 18.
WHO YOU GONNA CALL? GAMALIEL DIAZ 'GHOST'
BUSTER!... by Kenny Perrault
Coming into tonight's fight,
Gamaliel Diaz was an unknown fighter with a 19-5-2 (9 KO's) record;
after 12
rounds of boxing he became the NABF featherweight champion. The former
NABF
champion and the man Diaz beat was hot 16-0 prospect Robert "The Ghost"
Guerrero.
DIAZ SURPRISES GUERRERO
VIA SPLIT DECISION... by George Elsasser
Last nite’s Friday Sho-Box club fight tour paused for a pit stop at Lemoore,
CA for a Robert "Ghost" Guerrero - Gamaliel Diaz featherweight squabble for
the NABF bauble - when the smoke cleared following 12 rounds of
feudin’-fussin’-fightin’ a new king was crowned.
GOLDEN BOY HBO 'WORLD CUP' OFFERING A
WINNER...
by George Elsasser
The De la Hoya offering for the "world cup" featured flyweights to bantams
representing Mexico vs. Thailand that had more than a few sparkling pairings.
DAWSON, LOGAN SHOBOX FNF
WINNERS...
by George Elsasser
The undefeated Dawson improved to 19-0, 14 KO’s
by virtue of a full court press from start to finish that would eventually
reduce the cobra to a non-venomous garter snake variety - the end came following
knockdown three of stanza eleven...
BRADLEY BANGS HIS WAY TO A TECHNICAL DECISION VICTORY... by Tom Dickey Timothy Ray Bradley stayed unbeaten and nabbed his 10th career win with a 9
round technical decision victory over Jorge Padilla from the Doubletree Hotel
in Ontario, California on Monday night. The bout was halted at the end of
round 9, due to two cuts on each of Padilla's eyes. The bout was the 10 round
main event of a five bout "Path to Glory" card presented by Thompson Boxing
Promotions.
THOMPSON BOXING
PROMOTIONS PRESENTS 'PATH TO GLORY' ON NOVEMBER 21... by Tom Dickey Thompson Boxing Promotions returns to the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario,
California for its final show of 2005. In the main event, Thompson's own
Timothy Ray Bradley will put his WBC youth welterweight title on the line
against Jorge Padilla. This will headline a six bout card on Monday, November
21st.
GREEN ICES CODRINGTON; POWELL COASTS TO
VICTORY... by George Elsasser
And then the opening bell - Green with a look of confidence quickly in role of
aggressor while Codrington wearing more of a concerned look - and some ten
seconds into the stanza it’s Green with a countering left hook, and the touted
one is quickly seen doing the ol’ "hucklebuck" - some eight seconds later a
Green barrage has Jaidon out and slowly sinking to the canvas.
CHIN IS CHECKED ON SHOBOX... by Kenny Perrault The Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma hosted tonight's ShoBox card. The
night began with super middleweights Allan Green and one half of the "Chin
Checkers" Jaidon Codrington. The bell rang to start the first round and it
takes only 18 seconds for the Chin Checker to become the Chin Checked, as he
laid motionless, hanging from the bottom rope.
by Tom Dickey
Former welterweight champion of the world Vernon Forrest
was hoping to exorcise some past demons on Friday night. Forrest was fighting
in the same venue where he suffered his first professional loss to Ricardo
Mayorga back in January of 2001. He would exorcise those demons, but in
controversial fashion.
JOHNSON STOPS JONES IN 10
Former light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson 43-10-2 (29 KO's) scored
a TKO at 2:30 of the tenth round over George Khalid Jones 23-3-1 (13
KO's) in a IBF title eliminator bout. Johnson is now
in line for a shot against IBF champion Clinton Woods, although he would
prefer to square off against the winner of Jones- Tarver.
NATE CAMPBELL - 'DR. EVIL' STEAL THE JONES-TARVER SHOW!
by Elisa Harrison @ringside Both fighters wore Goldenpalace.com tattoos on their backs. I find
it outrageous that the tattoos are considered 'distracting' while ring mats
are littered with advertisement that becomes slick when wet, posing a
serious danger to the fighters, yet, nothing is done to address and/or correct the problem.
Payment for wearing the tattoos is the only income fighters get 100% of,
and as such, boxing commissions should stop the hypocrisy and allow the
fighters to wear the tattoos without fines or retaliations. I certainly find
it more distracting when fighters are slipping and sliding all over the ring,
than when they wear a tattoo on their backs.
NGOUDJO GETS NOD OVER AUGUSTUS...
by Ed Ludwig Right from the opening bell the two combatants went toe to toe in what turned
out to be a very exciting bout that had the fans out of their seats cheering.
Ngoudjo controlled the action for the most part in
what turned out to be a give and take battle. Augustus constant showboating
appeared more out of frustration and to the fact that the champion was able to
connect almost at will.
ADAMEK KO 6 OVER ULRICH - AMERICA MISSES
ANOTHER GREAT ONE
American boxing fans
missed out on another terrific fight from Germany as undefeated World Boxing
Council light heavyweight champion Tomasz Adamek's sixth-round knockout over
European Boxing Union champion Thomas Ulrich in Dusseldorf was not televised
in the United States.
JUAN CARLOS GOMEZ DECISIONS McCALL, BUT
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?... by Chris Robinson
Combining a unique ring generalship, fast hands,
great height and reach, along with some solid power, I considered Gomez the
man to beat at Cruiserweight for quite some time. I thought he was something
special and even though he was fighting in the often looked over Cruiserweight
class, I expected him to make a name for himself sooner rather than later. The
wins continued to come in but the exposure was still lacking, and it was then
that Gomez decided to go after the big boys and the big bucks in the
Heavyweight division.
CELESTINO
CABALLERO CAPTURES WBA SUPER BANTAM INTERIM TITLE... by Chris Robinson/Elisa
Harrison Caballero captured the WBA Super Bantamweight
Interim title in front of his countrymen in Panama with a twelve round
unanimous decision over another Venezuelan, La Guaira's Yober Ortega,
this past Saturday, October 15th. The Centro de Convenciones Figali, Fuerte
Amador, in Panama City, Panama hosted the event. The official scores of
117-111, 116-112, and 119-109 all favored the rangy, classy southpaw.
Celestino Caballero, 23-2, 16 KOs, is managed by Rogelio Espiño and trained by
Francisco 'Tolete' Arroyo.
by
George Elsasser
Lock, something of a part time practitioner at
age 29, once took a two-year hiatus when being unhappy over his first loss
entered this one with a 15-2-1, 9 resumé - his ring partner Santiago a late
starter to the pro game and now at age 27, arrived with unblemished rap sheet
of 12-0 with seven by knockout.
OUMA RETURNS TO FORM AGAINST CUEVAS; HOPKINS STOPS 'BABY' ZEPEDA... by Chris Robinson Moments ago at the Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey,
Kassim Ouma would get back to his winning ways with a one-sided drubbing
of Freddie Cuevas. Ouma, coming off a shocking decision loss to Roman
Karmazin in July, would play the role much better tonight as he battered
Cuevas from the outset of round one.
VINCE PHILLIPS SCHOOLS KELSON PINTO IN SHORTENED FIGHT...
by Tom Dickey Even at the age
of 42, Vince Phillips showed he still has something left in his tank. On
Thursday night from the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California,
Phillips dropped Kelson Pinto once en route to a majority decision victory in a
shortened five round fight. The bout had to be halted after round five, due to a
cut over Phillips's right eye that was caused by a head butt. The bout was the
main event of a four bout card presented by Maldonado Promotions.
IBRAGIMOV SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS AGAINST FRIDAY AHUNANYA...
by
Stephen Jones @ringside
In a twelve round co-main event at the Gwinnett Arena in Georgia,
unbeaten Russian Sultan Ibragimov put his WBO Asia Pacific
Heavyweight title on the line against seasoned Nigerian Friday 'The
13th' Ahunanya.
WALTERS WINS THE 'TRUTH IN DULUTH II'...
by Kenny Perrault, ringside
The Duluth
Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) hosted "The Truth in
Duluth II" in front
of a crowd of over 2,000 fans. The main event featured
Minnesota
Light Heavyweight champion Zach "The Jungle Boy" Walters
against Boyd "Peek A Boo" Davis.
GUERRERO STOPS VENTURA IN FIRST ROUND
With three knockdowns in the first round, Robert "The Ghost"
Guerrero (16-0-1, 9 KOs) pummels Sammy Ventura (22-15) in his 2nd
consecutive NABF featherweight title defense. The countdown to Dec.
2nd on SHOWTIME begins now...
LOPEZ WINS HARD FOUGHT DECISION;
BRADLEY DOMINATES AGAIN... by Tom Dickey
Jose Lopez got a very tough
test tonight, but persevered to score a unanimous decision victory over Jose
Luis Tula in front of a sell out crowd gathered at the Omega Products
International in Corona, California. The fight was the main event of a five-bout
"Path to Glory" card presented by Thompson Boxing promotions.
SMITH DECISIONS LONG IN ESPN2 FNF 2005 SERIES ENDER...
by
George Elsasser
The ESPN2 Friday Night Fight series dropped the
curtain on its year 2005 run, with a competitive heavyweight
pairing that saw Terry Smith besting Julius Long over ten stanzas
of somewhat entertaining flailing... Entertaining, in that neither
big guy has a clue when it comes to the science of a game that wears
the label "Sweet Science" - but try they did...

pairing that saw Terry Smith besting Julius Long over ten stanzas

BOJORQUEZ PULLS OUT WIN WITH 7TH ROUND TKO...
by Tom Dickey,
ringside Former world title challenger Carlos Bojorquez put an end to a close
fight with Ryan Davis with a 7th round TKO. Bojorquez would end up
dropping Davis 3 times, twice in the 7th round en route to his 25th
career victory.
The ESPN2 FNF tour touched down at college tank town Norman,
Oklahoma for an evening of club fight level action, that saw
Oscar Diaz (21-1, 11 KO) doing the expected, while tossing blanks
at Thomas Davis of 9-2-1, 5 KO’s fame in the welterweight
featured attraction.
SALITA WINS NABA JUNIOR WELTERWEIGHT TITLE...
by David Kolb,
ringside Dmitriy Salita came into the ring
ushered by the up and coming Hassidic reggae star Matisyahu, and left the
ring with the first championship belt of his young career.
Salita (23-0, 14 KOs), earned a
ninth round TKO over Shawn Gallegos (15-2, 5 KOs) to claim the NABA junior
welterweight title Thursday night at the Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan
Center in New York City at yet another installment of DiBella
Entertainment's Broadway Boxing series.
MADDALONE MAULS MILLER... Sharkie's Machine by Frank Gonzalez Jr. Friday night at Saratoga Springs in New York, Heavyweight, Vinnie Maddalone of
Queens NY, improved his record to 25-2 after scoring a TKO 5 victory over Troy
NY native, Shannon Miller. It was an exciting contest ultimately decided by a
Maddalone left hook that ended it in the opening moments of the fifth round.
BLOODIED MADDALONE STOPS MILLER IN FIVE... by
George Elsasser
The ESPN2 traveling fistic carnival played the upstate New York,
Saratoga Springs race track scene for a club fight card of action -
heavyweights Vinnie Maddalone and Shannon Miller shared top honors
while wowing those in attendance with a throwback donnybrook of
pitch & catch.
AUDLEY HARRISON MAKES 'HEAVYWEIGHT' STATEMENT WITH BIG TKO WIN OVER ROBERT
WIGGINS
All Audley “A-Force”
Harrison (19-0, 14KOs) has to do is fight like he did tonight—recording a
fourth round technical knock out victory over a game Robert Wiggins (20-5-1,
12KOs)—to continue to show why he feels confident proclaiming himself the
future world heavyweight champion. “I feel great and ready to conquer the
division,” said Harrison.
DIAZ MAKES QUICK WORK OF JONES FROM CAMP PENDLETON... by Tom Dickie @
ringside
In front of over one thousand U.S. Marines at Camp Pendleton's Marine
base in Oceanside, California, former IBF lightweight champion Julio Diaz made
quick work of veteran Russell Jones, knocking him out in the first round. The
fight was the main event in a special "Salute to America's Heroes" card from
Camp Pendleton presented by Sycuan Ringside Promotions.
DIAZ LEFT-HOOK HALTS JONES IN ONE... by George
Elsasser
The ESPN TNF summer series dropped its curtain at Camp Pendleton,
California the home of the 1st Marine Division - and ranking lightweight
Julio Diaz closed the main event with a first round stoppage of Russell
Jones at the 1:59 mark.
CAMARENA DECISIONS PADILLA...
by George
Elsasser The ESPN Friday night tour visited the mile high city of Denver, for a
peek at its latest find Donald Camarena, who entertained the hometown
fans and officials with a unanimous decision win over novice Jorge
Alberto Padilla.
"LEFT HOOK" LACY ROLLS ON... by Aladdin Freeman The maturation process of Jeff Lacy continued Saturday night against
Robin Reid as Lacy pounded out his 20th victory with a dominating performance
forcing Reid’s corner to stop the fight at the end of the 7th round.
I’ve been knowing Jeff since I was
about 13 years old. I just remember when I was going for my first PAL
National tournament in Orlando, and Jeff and I were the only two guys
standing at the end from the entire Florida team.
Lacy would get past a slow start on his way to an eventual 7th
round TKO over the game challenger. Along the way we saw plenty of
grabbing and holding and a few bad calls by referee Jorge Alonso, but
Lacy delivered as advertised, dropping Reid four times before the
Englishman’s corner would waive things off just seconds before the start
of the 8th round.
The setting was the St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa, FL … and to be sure it
would be no easy task to upstage the local bomber with the celebrated left
hook - but referee Jorge Alonso clearly did his ignominious best to do just
that.
JEFF LACY: JUST WHAT THE FIGHT GAME NEEDS... by Chris Robinson
Jeff Lacy represents what is good about boxing. The young man from
St. Petersburg, Florida goes about his business with a blue-collar work
ethic and delivers high drama in abundance.
HOMETOWN COOKING CRACKS ROBIN REID...
Sharkie's Machine by Frank Gonzalez
In an ugly exchange in the fifth round, Reid
appeared to intentionally head butt Lacy. The ref shouted, “Stop!” and as Reid
turned toward the ref, Lacy clocked him with a right hand that sent Reid down.
Technically, it was an illegal blow but the ref turned and counted as Reid got
up.
Things went according to plan tonight for the unbeaten "Chin-Checkers", Jaidon Codrington and
Curtis Stevens. Both were successful in “Checking in and checking out….early,” as the two young Brownsville studs would say.
...But up first on the menu was a lightweight ten rounder that clearly stole the
show from the headliners - a scorcher that could have been held in the
proverbial street corner phone booth.
In one corner, Daniel Seda (20-1-1, 16 KO) coming off a November 2004 decision
loss to celebrated Cuban star Joel Casamayor, in the other corner, one carefully
selected Silverio Ortiz of 10-7, 5 KO infamy.
The ESPN Friday Nite offering from Foxwoods Resort at
Mashantucket, CT had a little something for everyone - the main event saw
seasoned heavyweights Lawrence Clay-Bey and Derek Bryant in a ten round
standoff - and for those liking it short and sweet, it was Delvin Rodriguez
by KO in one.
The swap of outdoor venues for last noche’s FNF offering coughed up what
was standard fare for the small club fight scene - and when the curtain
dropped, it was Rodney Toney, Mike Oliver and Anthony Russell bringing home
the proverbial bacon.
It’s Reyes in charge over the early going and then late in the round a
two-fisted blitz drops a bleeding Burton to the canvas - no sooner falls face
down that a frenzied referee Jack Reiss in such a hurry to call a halt, trips
and falls on top of the stricken fighter while shouting to him not to move.
gala...
Both battlers were coming off losses in last outing and looking to turn things around - opening stanza is fast paced with
Hernandez having the better outside skills than the shorter Morales - round two sees Morales with the edge virtue of some good inside volleys...
Zahir
Raheem shredded the legendary Erik Morales in front of a shocked
pro-Mexico crowd at the Stapes Center on Saturday night. It was a
lop-sided beating of staggering proportions that reminds one of
Leonard-Duran II, Mayweather-Corrales or vintage Roy Jones vs. Most Guys.
Raheem even showed their swagger and posturing.
by George Elsasser Veteran warhorse Agapito Sanchez at age 35, and a tepid stat sheet reflecting
nine debits, looked on paper to be the ideal foil for relative rookie Artyman
Simonyan to rebound from a KO loss in his last fight - bad choice.
An energetic crowd was on hand at All State Arena in Rosemont,
Illinois to welcome ESPN2's Friday Night Fights to town and they saw some
great action. Banner Promotions and Hitz Boxing joined forces to put together an
action packed six fight card; the result, five knockouts and
a national title changing hands.
PETERSON BREEZES TO DECISION WIN... by
George Elsasser
Then the opening bell … Peterson with the glowing amateur credentials which
Teddy repeatedly tossed at the viewers … and opponent Miguel Angel
Torresillas described as a comparable plodder with heart but little else
going for him.
Litzau began the
fight working behind his left jab, trying to set up the straight right
hand. Litzau looked sharp early in the fight, but the one thing you may
have noticed was how low he kept his hand's during the bout. It was
only a matter of time before Nolasco took advantage of Litzau's
carelessness as he started to land more and more to Litzau's head.
Nolasco kept closing the gap as each round
passed.
Still, to hear the pre- fite unbalanced rant, the kid Litzau is already
prospect material after 14 undefeated wins arriving via knockout - going
unmentioned is no DNA on them 14 priors that have likely been returned to
the respective Potter's Field resting places...
Oscar de la Hoya’s Boxeo de Oro gave
fight fans another peek at the Jr. Middleweight division this Thursday
night. The card served to be an appetizing showcase leading up to this
weekend’s Middleweight showdown on HBO. In the main event, Kassim “The
Dream” Ouma faced Russian Roman “Made in Hell” Karmazin.
Moments ago at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Roman ‘Made In
Hell’ Karmazin would shock both Kassim ‘The Dream’ Ouma and the boxing
world as well in claiming a convincing unanimous decision over the young
champion. Karmazin started strong, dropped
Ouma twice in the third, and held off the Ugandan’s late rally attempt
to take over control of the IBF Jr. Middleweight strap.
QUINTANA HALTS CAMPOS IN SIX... by George
Elsasser
The ESPN Tuesday Nite drive-by to Playboy Mansion country spawned as weak an
offering as it gets - more a 21st century version of a yesteryear "smoker"
than a professional fite card... The main event featured undefeated Carlos Quintana - a still untested tout
of the at times delirious ringside commentator Joe Tessie - paired with 33
year-old Francisco Campos.
WOMEN WARRIORS WORTH WATCHING...
Sharkie's
Machine by Frank Gonzalez Jr. Tuesday evening at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles,
California, young Cristal Morales of Oxnard California, debuted in her first
televised fight. Her record consisted of a lone Draw. 0-0-1. She had a
tight frame at 128-pounds. Her trunks were loose fitting. This was a hungry
fighter lucky for the chance.
AUGUSTUS TOO MUCH FOR AGING OLIVEIRA... by George
Elsasser
Emanuel Augustus ~ the face is
the look of what one would expect of a 30 year-old with a now 51 career
fights. The body, energy, technical skills tell a different story. The
combinations come quickly from all sides - the acrobatics will continue
to confuse the uninitiated. But we’re no longer talking championship
straps. The shortage of clout has denied Emanuel that mountain…
GARDNER NEAR-PERFECT IN UNANIMOUS DECISION WIN...
by George Elsasser
The ESPN Tuesday visit to Brockton town for the Ian Gardner - Mohamad Said
middleweight pairing, coughed up a couple unexpected dividends, when the
transplanted Canadian southpaw tossed a near perfect performance over the
made to order hapless Egyptian.
PETER KEEPS THE ACTION COMING WITH 2ND ROUND DRUBBING OF
SYKES...
by Chris Robinson Late into the 2nd round Peter
would land a clubbing right hand that would shake Sykes up. Taurus
appeared to be hurt and backed up to the ropes as Peter stormed in.
Peter clubbed away and despite all of Sykes' efforts to escape danger he
was caught repeatedly, with another chilling right hand serving as the
finisher.
A VIEW FROM THE GALAXY: 'IF PETER CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE,
HE CAN PUNCH!...
Nate Campbell as told to
Chris Robinson
If Samuel Peter can't do anything else, he can punch. The only
problem I saw was that the guy he was in with, Taurus Sykes, wasn't a live dog
in there. Peter is 24-0 now and he needs to start stepping it up.
MASKAEV SEEKS TITLE SHOT AFTER TKO WIN... by George
Elsasser
You’re Oleg Maskaev, and the whisper circling the pugilistic perimeter
is a Vitali Klitschko title bout sometime late this year 2005 - and so
it was showcase time at the boardwalk of bag ladies of Atlantic City,
with last minute 2-day sub Livin Castillo the chosen victim.
