SAMUEL PETER: THE BRIGHT LIGHT AT THE END OF A VERY DARK TUNNEL... by Stephen Jones
The light at the end of the tunnel may be arriving in the shape of Nigerian Knockout artist Samuel Peter. The difference between Samuel and the rest of the rising stars is purely that he is regularly beating heavyweights that are not over the hill but live and on form, very often on winning streaks themselves.

WLADIMIR TO SAMUEL PETER: 'IT'S TIME TO WALK THE WALK"
“Peter has challenged me to a fight,” the former World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion and 1996 Olympic Games gold medalist said. “Well, I wholeheartedly accept the challenge. Let’s do it. I am ready. The question is, is Samuel Peter ready?

SAM PETER: "WHO'S NEXT?"
“Samuel showed a lot of maturity and a lot of different looks,” adds manager Ivalyo Gotzev. “With this fight, there shouldn’t be any doubt he is the number one contender in the world. He’s definitely ready for a title challenge. The boxing world can’t afford to wait for another obscure or boring performance by a heavyweight champion. We want to clean up the division and give people something to cheer about again.”

PETER KEEPS THE ACTION COMING WITH 2ND ROUND DRUBBING OF SYKES... by Chris Robinson
Late into the 2nd round Peter would land a clubbing right hand that would shake Sykes up. Taurus appeared to be hurt and backed up to the ropes as Peter stormed in. Peter clubbed away and despite all of Sykes' efforts to escape danger he was caught repeatedly, with another chilling right hand serving as the finisher.

A VIEW FROM THE GALAXY: 'IF PETER CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE, HE CAN PUNCH!... Nate Campbell as told to Chris Robinson
If Samuel Peter can't do anything else, he can punch. The only problem I saw was that the guy he was in with, Taurus Sykes, wasn't a live dog in there. Peter is 24-0 now and he needs to start stepping it up. When I was 23-0 I was making my HBO debut against Joel Casamayor in a war of a fight and this guy gets it easy on Showtime? I don't know about that...

PETER PUMMELS SYKES IN TWO... by George Elsasser
Moments ago Nigeria's Samuel Peter would keep his express rolling with a 2nd round knockout over Brooklyn's Taurus Sykes at the Events Center in Reno, Nevada. Peter is looked to by many as the next heavyweight hopeful and all wishes were fulfilled tonight as he stalked Sykes in the first and delivered a drilling in the 2nd.

DUVA: WINNER OF SYKES-PETER IS #1
“The winner of this fight,” explains Duva “will hold the NABF, NABA and USBA heavyweight championships, the secondary belts for three of the main bodies. If that’s not grounds for being made number one by all of them, I don’t know what is.”

READY FOR SHOWTIME: TOPIC TO TOPIC WITH SAMUEL PETER... by Chris Robinson
Once the premier division in the sport, the big boys have fallen off the charts considerably over the years. One man looking to change all of that is Nigerian Heavyweight Samuel Peter, who fights this Saturday on Showtime against Taurus Sykes (23-1-1, 6 KO’s).

SYKES IS READY TO EXPOSE SAMUEL PETER: An Exclusive Interview... by Tom Dickie
Peter ain't doing anything special, anything more than anyone else is doing. He's not setting up any punches, he's a one dimensional fighter.

SYKES IS READY TO EXPOSE SAMUEL PETER: ... An Exclusive Interview by Tom Dickie
Peter ain't doing anything special, anything more than anyone else is doing. He's not setting up any punches, he's a one
dimensional fighter. Eventually when he gets exposed, he won't be able to get that big money fight, so that's why he's calling guys out.
