Rivera beat the count
after being knocked down, but his

In an entertaining thriller that almost became a huge upset,
Samuel Peter,
(28-1, 22
KOs), holds on to the
WBC Interim title recently
bestowed upon him. Peter had to work hard for his money; he was
down
once in the second round and twice in the third. The
Nigerian champion looked hurt and beaten;
however, he managed to turn the
fight around and score a unanimous decision win over
Jameel
McCline,
(38-7-3, 23 KOs).


WBA #15 heavyweight Kali "Checkmate" Meehan (33-3, 27 KOs)
scored a sixth round TKO over
WBA #4 ranked DaVarryl "Touch
Of Sleep" Williamson (24-5, 20 KOs). Williamson was ruled
unfit to
continue by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Barry Jordan
of the New York State Athletic Commission.




Heavyweight Andrew Golota (40-6-1, 33 KOs) halted
Kevin McBride (34-6-1, 29 KOs)
in six rounds. Official time
was 2:42.
