The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) hosted "The Truth in Duluth II" in front of a crowd of over 2,000 fans. The main event featured Minnesota Light Heavyweight champion Zach "The Jungle Boy" Walters against Boyd "Peek A Boo" Davis.

Davis came out fast in the first round trying to work his way inside against the much taller Walters. Once inside, Davis threw combinations to the body and occasionally upstairs. The longer reaching Walters tried to establish his jab and work from the outside. Every time Walters stepped back Davis would rush his way back to the inside, and as the rounds went on more clinching than fighting came from Davis once he found himself on the inside.

Early in the bout Walters started to work Boyd's body  and stuck with it throughout the bout. In the sixth round Walters really picked up his body work slamming left and right hooks to the body that pushed Davis back. Even though Walters was getting the upper hand, Davis never gave up; he was always looking to land a hard counter shot.

In the eighth and final round both men gave it their all but it was Walters who gave just a little bit more, as he once again had Davis retreating late in the round. However, Walters ran out of time before he could put the finishing touches on Davis. When all the scorecard's were tallied Zach Walters was announced the winner by unanimous decision with all the scorecards reading the same 79-73. With this win Zach Walters improves his record to 13-1 (10 KO's) while Boyd Davis falls to 10-7 (2 KO's).

After the fight we were able to catch up with both main event fighters. Boyd Davis had this to say, "My right arm was sore. I couldn't really throw with it after the third or fourth round so I had to throw my jab mostly."

On the scoring of the fight, "It's in his hometown, so you judge it."

On Zach's punching power, "It's not the hardest I've faced, I’m not going to deny the fact he doesn't have a good punch."

Boyd Davis now 37 year's old announced his retirement from boxing after the fight.

Zach Walters on the fight: "He's a counter punching guy but I've seen him explode on an opponent one time. So I figured he would come on strong in the early rounds and settle into his normal hitting and moving counter punching. He has more fights than me, granted he's 10-6,  but you learn something from every fight. He's a frustrating guy to fight."

Walters on if he was hurt during the bout, "He was hitting very hard but I was never seeing stars, he knocked me off my structure a couple times but I never saw stars."

Walters on if it had been a ten round fight, "I think I would have had him, I think I would have had him. I almost had him out in the sixth, my body shots were starting to wear him down."

Walters on fighting in front of his hometown fans, "It's always fun, I like to see the reaction of the *Twin Ports fans.

The co-main event featured middleweights Andy Kolle against Rueben Rodriguez. Kolle wasted no time getting started, putting his punches together well, never allowing Rodriguez to get started. In the second round Kolle landed a hard shot to his opponent's nose that instantly started to gush blood. Kolle followed up with a wicked body combination that sent Rodriguez down for the ten count. The time of the stoppage was 2:09 seconds of the first round. Andy Kolle improves his record to 6-0 (5 KO's) while Rueben Rodriguez falls to 1-4 (0 KO's).

Junior Middleweight's Raul Grazia and Louie Gangi squared off in a scheduled four round fight. Grazia only needed one round of work to stop Gangi. Raul Grazia wins his pro debut while Louie Gangi falls to 0-2 (0 KO's).

Lightweights Wilton Hilario and Kevin Nauden made their pro debuts tonight but it was Hilario who started his professional boxing career with a win. Hilario who looked a bit wild in the first round put it together in the second round, landing combinations that sent Nauden back. In the third round Hilario stepped it up another notch, forcing the referee to give Nauden a standing 8 count. When asked if he was alright Nauden gave no reply, forcing the referee to call off the fight. The time of stoppage was 0:43 of the third round. With his win Wilton Hilario starts his career as 1-0 (1 KO) while Kevin Nauden's record stands at 0-1.

The opening bout of the night featured Bernard Davis against Jesus Velasquez. From the start it was all Davis who worked both the head and body. Velasquez was never in the fight as was given a standing eight out in the third round. The fight went the distance with Davis scoring a unanimous decision. (The official scorecards were not read). Bernard Davis is now 1-0 while Jesus Velasquez falls to 0-6.
