MANNY PACQUIAO: HE'S BACK! By Kenny Perrault |

Manny Pacquiao has settled his legal issues with Murad Muhammad and is now set to fight on September 10th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Pacquiao last fought March 17th in a losing effort to Erik Morales via 12 round unanimous decision. This time around, Pacquiao will be stepping into the ring against Mexico's Hector Velazquez 42-10-2 (31 KO's). Also on the card will be Erik Morales vs a fighter to be announced. If both Pacquiao and Morales walk away victorious, it looks like there will be a December showdown between the two once again. But before Pacquiao can think about a rematch with Morales, he must get past Velazquez who is no push over in the ring. Velazquez has fought the likes of Rocky Juarez, Kevin Kelley, Robbie Peden, Guty Espadas Jr., and Orlando Soto, just to name a few. This fight may not be a world title bout but to Velazquez it may as well be. A win over Pacquiao would send him to the top of the division and set him up for a potential big payday and a world title bout. Velazquez will be a man in the ring fighting with nothing to lose and that can always make for a dangerous opponent. As for Manny Pacquiao he is fighting for a chance to once again step into the ring against Erik Morales to avenge his loss and prove to the world he is one of the top Jr. Lightweights in the world today. After Pacquiao's loss to Morales all agreed he fought a valiant effort but was simply too small to compete at this weight and should drop back down to featherweight. Pacquiao, being the warrior that he is, will not back down that easily from the challenge of becoming a world champion at 130 pounds. You can expect to see both of these men fight with a fire in their belly to prove that they belong. September 10th marks the date of Pac Man's return to the boxing ring. It also marks the date of Manny Pacquiao's journey to conquer all at 130 pounds. Questions? Comments? Email Kenny Perrault
