Jason Litzau brought his perfect record of 14-0 (14 KO's) in the ring tonight and barely escaped with it intact. Johnny Nolasco was the man in front of Litzau for tonight’s fight.

Litzau began the fight working behind his left jab, trying to set up the straight right hand. Litzau looked sharp early in the fight, but the one thing you may have noticed was how low he kept his hand's during the bout. It was only a matter of time before Nolasco took advantage of Litzau's carelessness as he started to land more and more to Litzau's head. Nolasco kept closing the gap as each round passed.

In the seventh round Nolasco took full advantage of Litzau's low guard and landed a crushing left hook that sent Litzau to the canvas hard . The look of the knockdown and the impact of it appeared to spell the end of Jason, but to my surprise, he jumped to his feet quickly. Referee Raul Caiz took a close look at Litzau and saw enough to let the fight continue. Nolasco jumped on the still very stunned Litzau but was unable to end the fight.

When the bell rang to end the seventh round Litzau who was still on queer street walked to the neutral corner and stood there waiting for his corner to enter the ring. Litzau's corner grabbed him as quickly as they could and brought him to his stool. Litzau began the eighth round on shaky legs but was able to get back into the fight, turning  the tables on Nolasco in the ninth and tenth rounds, stunning him with hard shots late in the rounds. Nolasco was able to stand up to the power of Litzau and end his 14 fight knockout streak as the bell rang to end the tenth and final round. The fight was close and the judges scored it accordingly, 95-94 twice for Litzau and 95-94 for Nolasco.

The knockdown in the seventh round may have been the best thing for Jason Litzau in the bout because he was a better fighter after it happened. Hopefully, he works more on defense and has a stronger outing next time out. With the win Jason Litzau improves to 15-0 (14 KO's) while Johnny Nolasco drops to 15-4-4 (6 KO's).

Former BYU wide receiver turned heavyweight boxer B.J. Flores, squared off against Frank Walker in a scheduled eight rounder. Flores was clearly the better fighter and it showed, as he swept nearly all the rounds on two judges score cards and did on one with the scores of 79-73 twice and 80-72. B.J. Flores improves his record to 12-0-1 (8 KO's) while Frank Walker drops to 10-2-2 (5 KO's).

Daniel Cervantes got the night started sweeping all four rounds against Anthony Vasquez with the scores of 40-36 on all three judges scorecards. Daniel Cervantes improves to 7-0 (0 KO's) while Anthony Vasquez falls to 1-2 (0 KO's).
