MORALES vs PACQUIAO: FROM RINGSIDE TO THE
COUCH |
|

|
One week removed from sitting in the MGM Grand watching Erik Morales and
Manny Pacquiao give it their all in an epic bout, I now sat on my living room
couch to once again take in the show. The first difference that jumped out
was the volume of the crowd. HBO seemed to filter the crowd's tremendous
noise during the bout. This was one of the best fight crowds I have ever
heard and seen. As for the fight it was just as exciting on TV as it was
live. It still amazes me the guts and tenacity that both men showed in ring,
digging deep and even deeper as each round passed. If any two fighters in
boxing need to get in the ring again for a rematch it's Erik Morales and
Manny Pacquiao.
I wanted to share my scorecards from the fight, from ringside to watching on
TV:
Now before I start getting emails saying I'm crazy for scoring a
certain round for either Pacquiao or Morales, let me say this. This is a fight that no matter how many times I
watch it I can probably score it differently. I have no complaints on the official
judging as many of the rounds were close and hard to score. With both men
giving and taking as much as they did I hated to see a loser. Let's
hope we are treated to a rematch some time in the near future.
