The Juan Manuel Marquez - Manny Pacquiao press conference was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday, to announce their scheduled March 15, 2008 bout at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Manny Pacquiao [45-3-2, 34 KO’s] of the Philippines and three-time division world champion, said he will make it clear this time around by winning the rematch.

“Hello, everyone, thanks for coming. I feel I won the first fight when I knocked out Marquez three times in round number one. I started training for this fight and I will be ready for March 15 and show everyone I will be victorious like I was in the first fight but was ruled a draw.” said Pacquiao.

Juan Manuel Marquez [48-3-1, 35 KO’s] of Mexico and currently the WBC super featherweight champion has been waiting for this rematch for almost four long years.

“They have nicknamed Pacquiao the 'Mexican Assassin' for taking care of Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales twice. I don’t think the nickname really suits Manny. I give him a lot of respect for what he has done in the boxing world and he is a true warrior. I am also hungry for this fight and will defend my title belt by beating Manny.” Marquez said.

The fight is being promoted by Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, in association with Romanza boxing production and MP promotions. The undercard will be revealed at a later date.
