MORALES-PACQUIAO II:
RING WARS OF PAST FIGHTSCLAIMED ANOTHER GREAT FIGHTER...
by Frank
Costarelli Jr. Erik
Morales' loss to Zahir Raheem was no aberration, it was a sign of things to
come. Manny Pacquiao administered a hellish beating to 'El Terrible.' The Reyes
gloves that covered Manny’s fists didn't make matters comfortable for
Morales, they landed frequently turning his face into a grotesque mask but,
they were not the story, it was the ring wars of past fights that came back to
claim another great fighter.
PACMAN IS THE MAN!... by Elisa Harrison
Minutes ago, in an action packed encounter, Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao
starched and ironed Erik 'El Terrible' Morales 2:33 into the tenth round of
a scheduled twelve rounder.
It wasn't pretty, perhaps not even technically sound, but boy oh boy, was it
exciting to watch!
PACQUIAO GETS REVENGE
WITH 10TH ROUND STOPPAGE OVER MORALES...
Newsflash/Chris Robinson
Moments ago at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Manny
Pacquiao defeated Erik ‘El Terrible’ Morales with a 10th round TKO after turning the fight
around in the mid-rounds and dominating down the stretch. With the win
Pacquiao moves to 41-3-2 with 33 knockouts while also getting revenge over
Morales, who took their first fight by unanimous decision 10 months ago.
Erik falls to 48-4 with 34 knockouts in the first stoppage loss of his
career.
MANNY PACQUIAO: BOXING'S
BIGGEST STAR... by Kenny Perrault During the past week I've penned two articles
on Manny Pacquiao, Manny the great?
and Manny "Mr. Predictable" Pacquiao?
As you can guess the first article posed the question of whether Manny Pacquiao will
go down as a great boxer and the second article questioned would Manny Pacquiao
be predictable against Erik Morales throwing the straight
left hand too much. As you probably know by now, Pacquiao proved which
category he
belonged in by stopping Erik Morales in ten rounds.
MY THOUGHTS ON MORALES
vs PACQUIAO... by Frank Costarelli Jr.
We should be in for a very exciting and entertaining fight Saturday evening
between Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales. After the first fight, I did not
think there was a need for a sequel. I felt Morales dominated the fight and
was the bigger, stronger fighter. I did not buy into the Pacquiao excuses;
Murad Muhammad had as much to do with Pacquiao’s loss as Erik Morales’ father
had to do with his loss to Zahir Raheem.
MORALES-PACQUIAO:
COMING TO A CROSSROAD ON SATURDAY NIGHT... by Tom Dickey
Nearly one year ago when Erik Morales and Manny Pacquiao were getting ready
for what turned out to be a tremendous first fight, there was a lot of talk
about the battle being a make-or-break fight for Morales... The risk factor
involved was part of the reason we were heaping praise on both fighters. Many
felt Morales should have taken a tune up fight after coming off such a brutal
battle with Barrera. Instead, Morales went in and scored a big win.
RANDOM THOUGHTS ON
MORALES vs PACQUIAO II... by Jeff Mayweather
It’s odd because In Las Vegas nobody is really talking about this fight. In
some ways it’s as though this fight is non-existent. The buzz just isn’t there
in the gyms and a lot of people I talk to don’t even know the exact date of
the fight... One reason that interest may be low is because of the round-robin
effect. We have already seen Pacquiao and Morales fight each other and it
might be more interesting seeing either guy against someone new.

A FEW THOUGHTS ON
MORALES-PACQUIAO DO OVER... by George Elsasser
Pac-Man is pretty much at his best when being catapulted from the corner at
the start of each stanza and letting the whistling left hand fly - has always
worked that way - and we all know the ol’ saying about not teaching old dogs
new tricks.
PACMAN WILL NEED POWER
PILLS... by Chris Ackerman
It has
been ten months since Erik Morales and Manny Pacquiao staged their epic first
battle, and it was a thrilling fight. Even with all the fireworks
however, it did unfold down a fairly predictable path.

PACQUIAO vs MORALES: THE BEST STRATEGY
WILL PREVAIL... by Oleg Bershadsky
In their first fight in 2005 both Morales and Pacquiao showed why they are
fan favorites and living legends in their respective home countries. Both
boxers showed amazing toughness, explosive punching, and provided us with
non-stop action. The difference in the first fight was not the toughness of
each fighter or even their punching power, it was the ability of Morales to
outbox Pacquiao when he chose to think more and brawl less.
PACQUIAO: MANNY THE GREAT? ... by Kenny Perrault Manny Pacquiao burst onto the
American boxing scene in 2001 stopping IBF Super Bantamweight champion Lelo
Ledwaba in six rounds. Since the Ledwaba victory Pacquiao shot to the top of
the boxing ranks, thrilling fans along the way. He disposed of the contenders
as expected and when put in front of his biggest test, Marco Antonio Barrera,
he looked just as impressive. It was starting to look as if Manny Pacquiao was
unstoppable, that was until he ran into Juan Manuel Marquez.
