North American Boxing Federation super flyweight champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire will make his first title defense, against Mexican fireball, WBC Fedecentro super flyweight champion Jovanny "Bambino" Soto, on the undercard of the Vivan Harris-Stevie Johnston/Joshua Clottey-Richard Gutierrez doubleheader.  
 
Promoted by Gary Shaw Productions, LLC (www.garyshawproductions.com), Harris-Johnston and Clottey-Gutierrez will be televised live Saturday, July 29, on HBO's "Boxing After Dark," from the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, CA. The live telecast will begin at 10:30 P.M. ET (delayed west coast broadcast will begin at 10:30 P.M. PT.)          
 
Donaire, (14-1, 8 KOs), from General Santos City in The Philippines, is riding a five-year, 13-bout winning streak, with his most impressive wins coming in his last two bouts, a unanimous decision victory over former IBO champion Ilidio Julio, (33-6-1, 29 KOs), and an exciting split-decision win over Kahren  Harutyuyan, (13-2-3), for the vacant NABF title.  Donaire is currently world-rated No. 12 by the World Boxing Council and the World Boxing Organization and No. 13 by the International Boxing Federation.
 
Soto,  (20-7-1, 15 KOs), from Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico, who is riding a four-bout winning streak (three of those victories by knockout), has won five of his last six bouts.  He returns to the ring fresh from a fifth-round knockout of Branni Guerrero where he captured the vacant WBC Fedecentro title.
