 Former
Lightweight Champion and now junior welterweight, Paul
Spadafora [45-0-1, 19 KOs] put an end to Alain Hernandez
[18-9-2, 10 KOs] with strapping hooks and combos to the body
and chops to the side of the head, over the completion of
five vigorous rounds. Unfortunately, the 'Ring Doctor' after
examining Hernandez stopped the fight as he sat on his stool
and was not able to come out for round six. The blows to the
body and head took its toll for the courageous Mexican
fighter. Spadafora now is seeking bigger and better things
as he is hoping to land a big major fight next year.
In other
action: NABO and NABF featherweight champion Matt
"Sharpshooter" Remillard [23-0, 13 KOs] won a hard fought
eight round unanimous decision over a rough and tough Oscar
Cuero [13-4, 10 KOs]. The scores of the bout> 80-72, 80-72,
79-73 all went to the 'Sharpshooter'. During the course of
the fight; Remillard meticulously picked his spots over the
game fighter while he was charging him at close range. Cuero
willingly kept the action going at Remillard, but also kept
poking with his head which made Remillard quite angry.
Remillard overcame his anxiety and was able to decision the
spirited Colombian fighter.

an eight round unanimous decision over Humberto Tapia

fight that kept Tapia dazzled.

hand that finished off Addy Irizarry [8-5, 2 KOs] at 1:26 of
the first round. Irizarry had to be taken out on a stretcher
suffering a leg injury. During the course of being carried
out, she was waving at the applauding crowd enroute to the
hospital with a jubilant smile on her face.
Super
middleweight Mark DeLuca [8-0, 5 KOs] improved his record by
winning a unanimous decision while dominating every round
over his easy opponent Nick Running Bear [4-5-1, 1 KO]. The
scores were 40-35, 40-35, 40-35.
Junior
middleweight Dustin Reinhold embarked on Philly's own Greg
Hacket over a fiery battle for four thrilling rounds. Both
fighters were landing explosive punches during the fight
that was making the fans in attendance screaming for blood
while the battle continued to the end. The judges scoring
was 39-37, 39-37, 38-38 for a majority decision going to the
winner Reinhold who improves his record to [4-1 2 KOs].
Joseph
"Chip" Perez [5-0, 2 KO] knocked out his opponent Ronnie
Peterson [3-5- 3 KOs] at 2:13 of the first round in a quick
lightweight battle. Perez scored with a right hand that had
Peterson touching the canvas for a standing eight.
