Spadafora Punishes Hernandez Over Five...

Former Lightweight Champion and now junior welterweight, Paul Spadafora [45-0-1, 19 KOs] put an end to Alain Hernandez [18-9-2, 10 KOs] with strapping hooks and combos to the body and chops to the side of the head, over the completion of five vigorous rounds. Unfortunately, the 'Ring Doctor' after examining Hernandez stopped the fight as he sat on his stool and was not able to come out for round six. The blows to the body and head took its toll for the courageous Mexican fighter. Spadafora now is seeking bigger and better things as he is hoping to land a big major fight next year. 
 

In other action: NABO and NABF featherweight champion Matt "Sharpshooter" Remillard [23-0, 13 KOs] won a hard fought eight round unanimous decision over a rough and tough Oscar Cuero [13-4, 10 KOs]. The scores of the bout> 80-72, 80-72, 79-73 all went to the 'Sharpshooter'. During the course of the fight; Remillard meticulously picked his spots over the game fighter while he was charging him at close range. Cuero willingly kept the action going at Remillard, but also kept poking with his head which made Remillard quite angry. Remillard overcame his anxiety and was able to decision the spirited Colombian fighter.
 

Undefeated junior welterweight prospect Danny O'Connor [14-0,3 KOs] won an eight round unanimous decision over Humberto Tapia [15-16-1, 8 KOs]. The scorecards read 80-72, 80-72, 80-71. O'Connor kept landing combinations and jabs throughout the fight that kept Tapia dazzled.
 

Female welterweight Jill Emery [10-4, 4 KOs] landed a quick left hand that finished off Addy Irizarry [8-5, 2 KOs] at 1:26 of the first round. Irizarry had to be taken out on a stretcher suffering a leg injury. During the course of  being carried out, she was waving at the applauding crowd enroute to the hospital with a jubilant smile on her face.
 

Super middleweight Mark DeLuca [8-0, 5 KOs] improved his record by winning a unanimous decision while dominating every round over his easy opponent Nick Running Bear [4-5-1, 1 KO]. The scores were 40-35, 40-35, 40-35.
 

Junior middleweight Dustin Reinhold embarked on Philly's own Greg Hacket over a fiery battle for four thrilling rounds. Both fighters were landing explosive punches during the fight that was making the fans in attendance screaming for blood while the battle continued to the end. The judges scoring was 39-37, 39-37, 38-38 for a majority decision going to the winner Reinhold who improves his record to [4-1 2 KOs].
 

Joseph "Chip" Perez [5-0, 2 KO] knocked out his opponent Ronnie Peterson [3-5- 3 KOs] at 2:13 of the first round in a quick lightweight battle. Perez scored with a right hand that had Peterson touching the canvas for a standing eight. Afterwards, the St.Paul, Minnesota native Peterson went down with shots to the head and body and was unable to get up giving Perez his sixth win.
 

Notable sightings in attendance were Former Welterweight Champion Marlon "Magic Man" Starling and Super Bantamweight Champion Mike "Machine Gun" Oliver.
