title picture when he defeated Hasim Rahman to capture a title
belt in August 2006. Originally from Kazakhstan, the
battle-tested veteran will confront the highly regarded Samuel

formidable Wladimir Klitschko. The bout is scheduled for 12
rounds.
In the 12-round opening bout, lightweight champ Juan Diaz
(33-0, 17 KOs) of Houston puts his crown on the line against
contender Nate Campbell (31-5-1, 25 KOs) of Tampa, Fla. Diaz
looked terrific in defeating Acelino Freitas and Julio Diaz,
and hopes to keep the momentum going against this crafty
challenger.
