The pre-fite press release promised it as special -
the fighters delivered the goods - combination of
boxing and hot exchanges - kept the live clientele
content and interested - for those who opt for gore,
it was stanza nine, and a double dip inadvertent clash
of heads - and Rivera dripping red fluid from head
wound.
June 24th was a bad night for Joel Julio but
the hope isn’t lost. He is a very young 21 years old and can come back even
stronger if he takes his loss as a learning lesson. Julio was dubbed by some as
the future in boxing and certainly has his work cut out for him if he is to
ever make those statements ring true. It will be a long and hard road to
endure, but perhaps we have yet to really see the best of Joel Julio. The road
to redemption begins this Friday night.
Boxeo TELEMUNDO will have a very “Special Edition” Championship Boxing on
Friday, October 27 at the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami, Florida.
In the main event welterweight prospect Joel “El Depredador” Julio of Monteria,
Colombia, now fighting out of Miami, will face WBO Latin & WBA FEDECENTRO
Champion Cosme “Chino” Rivera of Culiacan, Mexico in a bout schedule for 12
rounds, with Rivera’s WBO Latin & WBA FEDECENTRO Welterweight titles at
stake.
