ROY JONES - GLEN JOHNSON: WHY?... by Frank Lotierzo
One would think that after having such a brilliant career, Jones more than would want to prove that the only legitimate defeat of his career was a fluke.

JONES ON TARVER, RUIZ AND GLEN JOHNSON...
When asked... "Do you wish to fight Tarver again?  He keeps mentioning your name,"  Roy Jones replied: "That's the only way people will listen to him - by saying my name."

JONES TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE...
Roy Jones, Jr. was examined in the locker room following tonight's fight.  Following the examination, the doctor proclaimed Jones OK.  However, since it was the second time he had been knocked out, it was recommended that he go to the hospital for a CAT scan.  Jones agreed to go to the hospital, but refused the aide of a wheelchair.

ROY JONES: SPEED KILLS... BOTH WAYS!... by Aladdin Freeman
My high school coach used to always say that speed kills. There’s no substitute for being faster than the other guy, no way to practice against it; you either have it or you don’t. It’s all true, but what I wanted to know was what happens to those people who rely on speed and then one day they don’t have it anymore or everyone is as fast as them? Train wreck is the answer to that question.

ROY JONES JR.: IT'S OVER WITH... by Jeff Mayweather
The night of Saturday, September 25th was supposed to mark the resurrection of one of boxing's leading men. Roy Jones Jr. was expected to take back his rightful place up on the Light Heavyweight throne. It wasn't meant to be, however, as he was knocked out by journeyman and current IBF World Champion Glen Johnson.

GLEN JOHNSON AND FATHER TIME PUT ROY JONES TO SLEEP... by Kenny Perrault
IBF light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson met Roy Jones Jr. in the squared circle tonight. Roy was  fighting for the first time since his second round knockout loss to Antonio Tarver four months ago. Tonight was meant to be Roy's night to come back strong and prove to the media and the boxing public he was still the man they remembered before the Tarver meeting. Glen Johnson brought the IBF title into the ring along with dreams of beating Roy Jones and moving on to another big payday.

JONES UPSET AGAIN IN DEVASTATING FASHION... by Tom Dickey
If you thought Roy Jones Jr.'s knockout loss against Antonio Tarver was bad, it got even worse against IBF Light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson. Johnson landed a huge overhand right that landed behind the ear of Jones, followed up by  a left hook to send Jones down in the ninth round. As Jones went down the back of his head slammed against the canvas, and he was unable to make any attempt to beat the count. Just like that Glen Johnson shocked and disrupted the Boxing world.

BIG EGO vs HARD WORK... Sharkie's Machine by Frank Gonzalez, Jr.
Congratulations to Glen Johnson. He fought the perfect fight against Roy.  He pressured him all night and never gave Jones the distance and respect that so many other fighters have. Johnson showed that hard work can overcome even the biggest ego in Boxing.

ROY JONES STILL TAKING STEPS... by Chris Robinson
It is very easy in life to get caught up in the motions and once a while you just need a small break to analyze things before getting back into your normal routine. From what I see of Roy Jones Jr., that could be what he is doing with his next fight...
