Despite taking place halfway around the world at the Khodynka Arena in Moscow, Russia, October 13th’s highly-anticipated showdown between WBO Heavyweight Champion Sultan Ibragimov and challenger Evander Holyfield has become one of the sport’s hottest tickets - not only in Russia, but here in the United States, where fans have been clamoring for the opportunity to witness history in the making.

The Champion, speaking from his training camp in Florida, is also happy with the positive response this fight has received from his adopted home country.

“When I won the title I said I wanted to be a World Champion, and that means defending my title around the world,” said Ibragimov.  “This is the first step of my goal, and it motivates me to know that I will not only have the Russian fans in my corner, but that my fans from the United States will be with me as well.”
