An international mix of talent from the United States, Mexico, Scotland and
Australia stepped into the ring on Saturday, June 27th to compete on
the action-packed undercard of the Victor Ortiz vs. Marcos Maidana WBA Interim
Super Lightweight World Championship bout at Los Angeles' STAPLES Center.
In the main event, Oxnard's "Vicious" Victor Ortiz faces
Marcos Maidana for the interim WBA World Super Lightweight
Title in a 12 round battle.
Ortiz vs. Maidana is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in
association with Universum Box Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and
Southwest Airlines. The world championship bout took place
at STAPLES Center and aired on HBO Boxing After Dark.
