KLITSCHKO vs HAYE: MR. HAYE MAY GET BLOWN AWAY! ... by Jim Amato
I had to see for myself if Haye really had the "goods" to be a force in the heavyweight ranks. There were some excellent clips of Haye on www.youtube.com. Yes, I saw that Mr. Haye has a lot of tools and he can really whack, BUT... he won't win if he brings his chin. Aging Carl Thompson took Haye outta there. Haye has also been knocked down or hurt on other occasions. The Thompson bout was a clear revelation for me. As Max Schmeling once said before his first fight with Joe Louis, "I see something" in regards to a Louis-style flaw. I see a major flaw in Haye's style that will be exploited by Klitschko.

HAYE REIGNITES KLITSCHKO AMBITION
David Haye has again challenged heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko to a fight in 2009.
The 27-year-old plans to step up from cruiserweight for two heavyweight bouts this year before taking on the Ukrainian IBF and WBO belt-holder.

GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS SIGNS “THE HAYEMAKER”...
“Golden Boy Promotions is a powerful and forward-thinking company that is in this sport to protect the well-being of boxers,” said David Haye.  “One of their main goals is to empower the boxer which is something I believe in too.  Golden Boy is the perfect company for me to sign with in order to advance my career in and at the same time help to improve the state of boxing with my own promotional company.  That is my ultimate intention as both a world champion boxer and a promoter.”

HAYEMAKER GOES GOLD... by Mark Urban

The "Hayemaker" started off plying his trade in the Cruiserweight division but it has been a well documented fact that he has been struggling to make the weight for a long time now and, after unifying the division with the fight against Maccarinelli, he decided it was time to make the step up.

Haye's fight against Maccarinelli along with his amazing record of finishing 20 of his 21 fights within the distance (and some not going much distance at all) proves that he has the power to make it in the higher weight class and with him comes a breath of fresh air that has long been overdue in historically the most talked about division in boxing.

DAVID HAYE RELINQUISHES WBC CRUISERWEIGHT WORLD TITLE...
David Haye, the undefeated sensation of the cruiserweight division, has communicated to the WBC his plans for his future in boxing in a beautiful letter written to the WBC President Jose Sulaiman.
David Haye has relinquished his WBC cruiserweight championship and is requesting the WBC to rate him in the heavyweight division, hoping that his second dream, to win the WBC green and gold heavyweight championship, becomes true in the near future.

HAS DAVID HAYE ARRIVED? OR HAS HIS MOUTH DECLARED HIS ARRIVAL?... by Stephen Jones
On current form David can't be faulted, but Enzo Maccarinelli isn't top ten heavyweight substance, and neither is Bonin but I save my judgment for a bigger day.  I detect a lot of Audley Harrison in Haye; it could be the braids, it could be the shades, it could even be -dare I say it- the mouth. Whatever it is, I hope his delivery is constructed from  sterner stuff than Harrison's who is labeled in many circles as damaged goods, constantly mounting comebacks.
Haye is a promoter's dream and for that I wish him well. Balls of steel are required when facing proven heavyweights with the dimensions of a Klitschko when you are a natural cruiserweight and if he is prepared to put them on the line he has my respect.

DAVID 'THE HAYMAKER' HAYE HITS VEGAS...
This past weekend I ventured to Las Vegas to take my ringside seat for Joe Calzaghe's world light-heavyweight title win over Bernard Hopkins.

It was my first experience of a big Las Vegas fight and I urge anyone and everyone to catch a fight out there if you can. The buzz around the place in the days leading up to the fight was like something I've never seen or experienced before.

Although we're able to produce great atmospheres on fight night here in the UK I think the Vegas fight experience is unbeatable in terms of the complete package. It's not just about the fight over there. It's more of an experience that spreads across two or three days, maybe even a week in some cases. The build-up was just as exciting as the eventual fight – perhaps more so in this case.

DAVID HAYE TO WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO: 'THE HAYMAKER' IS COMING FOR YOU!
In a stagnant division, with little star appeal and even less quality, Klitschko versus Haye could be the battle between champions that harkens back to a time when the heavyweight championship was once viewed as the greatest prize in sports. If there's one heavyweight fight out there that can save heavyweight boxing, it's Klitschko – the best heavyweight on the planet – against Haye – the best cruiserweight on the planet.
"The British public needs to make this fight happen," concluded Haye. "Okay, it's not going to happen this year – he's got two mandatory challengers lined up – but summer next year, let's make this fight happen. It's the biggest fight since Lewis against Tyson and it has to happen."
