MAUSSA - HATTON UNIFICATION BOUT: AN  EXCLUSIVE BRC DIRECTORY

BLOODIED BUT UNBOWED, HATTON CONTINUES UNBEATEN... by George Elsasser

Manchester, England’s Ricky "Hitman" Hatton is one that handles the blood, sweat, tears of adversity with the best of them - unlike many today that seek help from the arbitrator the instant any "incoming" targets uncharted territory.
The past Saturday junior-welter unifier saw Hatton putting the IBF strap on the line and Colombia’s Carlos Maussa countering with the WBA belt - at the 1:10 mark of stanza nine it would be Hatton remaining unblemished at a now 40-0 with 30 KO’s and Maussa dropping to 20-3, and 18 by stoppage.

IT'S TIME FOR RICKY HATTON TO PAY THE UNITED STATES A VISIT... by Jeff Mayweather
When I look at this weekend’s Jr. Welterweight Unification match between Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton and Carlos Maussa, I just don’t see what many people are seeing. I see this fight as simply a way for Ricky Hatton to capture another world title to add to his collection. Carlos Maussa hasn’t shown me much as a fighter and I expect Hatton to walk right through him. It will be the fights that take place after his bout with Maussa that will determine Ricky Hatton’s true resting place in the boxing world and in the eyes of many fans.

HATTON DEDICATES WIN TO HIS FATHER
Ricky Hatton dedicated his win over Colombian Carlos Maussa to his father after admitting he had come through the most difficult period in his career... The 27-year-old Manchester fighter had to overcome cuts above both eyes to secure victory, but clearly was still more concerned with his pre-fight problems outside the ring after his win.

TOUGH TEST FOR HATTON...
Ricky Hatton must avoid the long arms of Colombian Carlos Maussa if he is to unify the light welterweight division at Sheffield Arena on November 26. The 5ft 10in South American has a 10in reach advantage over the 5ft 6in Mancunian – and Hatton's dad knows this could spell trouble as his IBF champion son tries to add the WBA belt to his collection.

HATTON READY TO SPRING TRAP ON MAUSSA... by Curtis McCormick
IBF Light Welter Champion Ricky Hatton is counting down the hours until he meets WBA Champion Carlos Maussa in the ring and "The Hitman" won't have to wait long for the chance to add the Colombian's title to his trophy cabinet. The two square off next Saturday on a Fight Academy promotion from the Hallam FM Arena in Sheffield, England and when the smoke clears, half of the division's major title belts will be unified. Will it be Hatton, conqueror of the greatly feared and respected Kostya Tszyu, who prevails? Or will Maussa, the resilient underdog who flattened Vivian Harris this past June, pull off another major upset?

MAUSSA PROMISES TO MATCH WHATEVER HATTON HAS TO OFFER
Colombia’s wildly-exciting WBA light-welterweight champion Carlos Maussa, 20-2 (18 KOs) has expressed an unshakable air of confidence ahead of his November 26 unification attempt against IBF king Ricky Hatton.  The event is being promoted by Fight Academy in association with Main Events and All-Star Boxing, Inc..  The broadcast—the unification bout along with the undercard matches—will be available in over 50 million Pay Per View homes via cable systems from iN Demand & TVN and from satellite providers DirecTV & Dish Network.  The broadcast is being distributed in the USA by Integrated Sports.

HATTON AND MAUSSA PROMISE FIREWORKS COME NOVEMBER 26
IBF light welterweight champion Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton and WBA titleholder Carlos Maussa took time out of their training schedules to reflect on their upcoming bout.  The 39-fight unbeaten Hatton, who impressively ripped the IBF title from world No.1 Kostya Tszyu three months ago with an 11th round retirement win, is keen to cement his standing as the 140lbs division’s leading fighter but is anticipating a severe examination against the 33-year-old Maussa.  The Colombian claimed the WBA crown in June with a shocking seventh round stoppage of American Vivian Harris and his clash with Hatton promises to be an explosive one.

HATTON'S CONFIDENT ABOUT COURT WIN...
Ricky Hatton's camp is optimistic his proposed world-title fight with Carlos Maussa will go ahead, despite promoter Frank Warren's attempt to stop it.

A NOW WARREN-LESS RICKY HATTON TO FACE CARLOS MAUSSA NOVEMBER 26 IN ENGLAND

Hatton Sr. has announced that Ricky would be making the first defense of his IBF light-welterweight title against fellow titlist WBA champion, Carlos Maussa. The fight is set for November 26th in Sheffield, England at the Hallam FM Arena.
