Two-time IBF world champion, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero is set to
battle Olympic silver medalist and current #1 contender Rocky
Juarez September 15th 2007 at the MGM Grand in Las
Vegas as the co-feature to Juan Manual Marquez vs Jorge Barrios,
televised live to millions tuning in on HBO PPV.
The card labeled
"Fireworks" was announced today by Oscar De La Hoya and Golden
Boy Promotions, solidifying the scheduled 12 round title defense that
is bestowed upon "The Ghost."
Guerrero, who traveled overseas and
recaptured his world title when he stopped Spend Abazi in Denmark
last February, mentioned, "I want to thank my Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ, my team along with HBO and Golden Boy Promotions, for
putting this fight together.
"September 15th is a great
day for Mexican fighters to showcase their skills, and I'm going
to bring my "A" game come fight night. I believe this is my time
to show the world what a true champion I am and give the fans what
they deserve."
