EL GORDO DEL BOX PRESENTS HIS P4P LIST
|
![]() |
1. Roy Jones: Ultimately what counts is the W, and Roy got just that, even if controversial, in his last fight with Tarver.
2 Kostya Tzyu: This Russian bad man has slowly but surely made believers out of those that first doubted him. His style seems methodical and robotic at times, but he's truly a scientist of the sport.
3 Floyd Mayweather, Jr.: Pretty Boy Floyd is steadily climbing up the ranks with a style that beautifully blends skills, speed and power.
4 Bernard Hopkins: Inactivity hurt his ranking, probably the 2nd best fighter in the world to Roy Jones Jr.
5 Erik Morales: The Mexican destroyer has proved for a long time to be an equal to Marco Antonio Barrera, the other great
Mexican feather of his generation, except that he's yet to lose convincingly.
6 Shane Mosley: Win over Oscar de la Hoya puts him back among the world's best, a place where he should had always been.
7 Ricardo Mayorga: Impressive KO win over Forrest and decision victory in return bout, as well as the victory over 'Six Heads' Lewis puts him here.
8 Oscar de la Hoya: The Golden Boy hasn't been able to maintain consistency in the past couple of years, but at this level not many have.
9 Rosendo Alvarez: The little man does not get the due credit. His resume and being a multiple division champion make him deserving of a spot in the top 10 pound for pound.
10 Juan Manuel Marquez: If given the opportunity he'll prove he's the best featherweight in the world, BIG.
