KOSTYA TSZYU vs SHARMBA MITCHELL PREDICTION

By George Elsasser

First order of business when playing the prediction game is to go to the respective stats and tale of the tape helpers ... and in Tszyu vs Mitchell we get a bonus in that they have met before.

Resulted in Kostya stopping Sharmba after seven stanzas ... but a closer peek shows the upcoming do-over is toting a whole different trick bag from the usual intangibles.

First meeting the pre-fite intangibles were as simple as Mitchell having the edge in the skills department and with a bonus in working from the southpaw side ... and Tszyu's chances hinged on the big right hand scoring somewhere along the line.

So much for the paper trail ... not to be ... Tszyu retains title when the Mitchell knee explodes and he's forced to retire between candles eight and nine.

And then the rest of the story ... Sharmba returns following knee surgery and is currently on an eight bout winning streak ... and Tszyu you ask?

This return will be Kostya's first bout since being on the shelf since January of 2003 because of surgeries to repair shoulder and Achilles tendon injuries.

Based on as real as it gets intangibles, the choice here is the Sharmba Mitchell knee job outlasts the Kostya Tszyu dual handicaps via late round TKO or by unanimous decision.
