In a Friday nite Showtime table setter to the Saturday Tszyu-Hatton showdown, it was WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison steamrollering over a willing but overpowered Michael Brodie, who fell at 45 seconds mark of stanza four.

The action was fast and furious from the opening bell with Harrison in a damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead approach, that he never once deviated from - and just prior to the bell ending candle three, a Harrison left hook to the midsection sent a hurt Brodie to his corner.

No surprise come round four that Harrison rushed to the lighter punching challenger with a two fisted body attack that was punctuated with a sizzling left hook to the solar plexus - Brodie first backed off a step before dropping to the canvas, oblivious to referee Mickey Vann’s ten count.

Brodie displayed flashes of boxing skills as he held his own over the opening two stanzas, but never once was able to slow the constant Harrison pressure that would finally crush the age 31 veteran’s chances of an upset.

Harrison goes to 24-2-2, with 14 stoppages while Brodie now drops to 35-3-1 with 23 KO’s.

Post Scripts: Scott Harrison ~ The win was impressive in performance mostly because of the availability of a light punching gamer in Brodie. The punch that made it a short evening ( left hook to the nerve center) should be taped and reviewed prior to future ring assignments.
Michael Brodie ~ Showed early heart in recovering from opening stanza power shots to claim number two and most of three before victimized by body punch at the closing bell. Feather division an evil  bunch, and Brodie clan should now pick and choose the future dance partners with care.
