What they failed to toss in was a reminder this chock-full-of "Katie bar the door" non-stop winging just might be condensed into a reduced number of stanzas ... and so it was - as in Hall by TKO at 47 seconds of candle 2.
Opening bell no sooner rings and there's "The Destroyer" resembling a warship of the same name that had just been torpedoed ... courtesy of Letterlough solid left-hook ... and it looked like a quickie for "Mr. KO." ... but Hall beats the count.
Now it's late in the round with Letterlough firing away ... bam ... Richard lion-hearted drops a straight left on the button of the hard charging "Mr. KO" and the script needs rewriting ... and then the bell.
Round two sees the 6’3" Hall quickly on the attack ... and Letterlough battling back ... then the Hall straight left scores once again and a following flurry of hard shots to the body and head has Letterlough in major trouble while trapped in a corner.
Veteran New England referee Rich Flaherty spots the warning signs - wobbly legs, bent over at the waist with both gloves dangling - and he wisely halts the carnage at the 47 seconds mark. Hall goes to 26-4, 24 KO’s while Letterlough drops to 19-4-2, 18 KO’s.
Post Scripts:
Ringside post-fite chat had Hall shouting "Tarver, Tarver, Tarver" ... not a chance ... guy no longer a force he once was at 175 ... should continue whacking out the wannabes at the club fight level. Letterlough as well, should pick and choose ... when facing serious foes, it is today a matter of an early or not at all scenario ... and that ain’t good.

The ESPN FNF pause at Cape Cod promised the Richard "The Destroyer" Hall - Julian "Mr. KO" Letterlough light-heavy pairing would be an action affair between two certified bombers ... and they were right on the money.
