Jason Estrada tossed a near shutout over Lance Whitaker in a one sided unanimous decision win - but as easy walk in the park it was it also showed the shortcomings of the now 12-1, 2 KO’s Estrada in what was intended a ESPN showcase opportunity. 

Whitaker at 6’ 8” and a weight reduction that saw him in body-builder magazine audition physique, had him manacled to the extent unable to toss leather with bad intentions. 

Estrada while showing quickness at 6‘ 1” - repeatedly beat Whitaker to the punch but with little, if any effect - still, it was Estrada in a breeze. 

Scoring went unanimous Estrada 98-92, 98-92, 97-93 - my unofficial agreed Estrada 99-91 in points and 9-1 in rounds.

• Jason Estrada (12-1, 2 KOs) ~ Age 27 a plus. Other side of the coin, a big albatross to carry is lack of punching power at 239 lbs. Quick of movement but the punches mostly of arm variety programmed for scoring points alone. The two knockout wins to date shout volumes - future bleak.

• Lance Whitaker (32-5, 27 KOs) ~ Age 35 - size of little consequence - should ride off on an elephant into the sunset and search for male modeling work with the 6' 8" 260 lbs. body beautiful. 

Referee Joseph Lopino - young and clueless - little Rhode Island not quite far enough out of town. Maybe give the bad woodlands of Maine a shot - better yet travel the Horace Greeley promise and go west young man.
