Last nite’s Sho-Box twin bill from far out Miami, Oklahoma went pretty much according to Hoyle - unless you buy into a 9-0 resumé with all wins arriving via knockout as a certified prospect -  but the show did produce some advertised fireworks.

Opener had super-middleweights Allan Green paired with Jaidon Codrington in a scheduled  eight round meeting of undefeated prospects - Green enters with 17 priors, eleven by stoppage, and the highly touted Codrington with all nine wins by KO.

And then the opening bell - Green with a look of confidence quickly in role of aggressor while Codrington wearing more of a concerned look - and some ten seconds into the stanza it’s Green with a countering left hook, and the touted one is quickly seen doing the ol’ "hucklebuck" - some eight seconds later a Green  barrage has Jaidon out and slowly sinking to the canvas.

With Codrington in a deep sleep and partly out of the ring ropes referee Gerald Ritter waves off what is clearly a knockout win for Green - no sooner, some twenty assorted lunatics, friends and relatives are vying for space with paramedics that were trying to return the fallen Queens, New York  fighter to the world of the living.

The scene bordered on chaos before eventually being brought under control - welcome to tank town USA version of fire-rescue-riot control - quickly brought back to this viewer something out of a long ago Abbot-Costello flick.

So Green goes to 18-0 with a dozen knockouts - was far more advanced in all areas than Codrington the novice, with a now questionable chin construction at that.

Good news is no serious physical damage done to the 21 year- young kid after being prematurely rushed by "team in a hurry for the big Yankee buck" approach so prevalent today.

Guess here is Green will now be quickly upgraded from last night eight round level entity to ranking main bout fighter. Hopefully, he’ll not be next to offer version of that old dance step of the 1950s.
                       ………………………………...........................................................................

Main event saw junior middle unbeaten Sechew Powell (18-0, 11) clearly besting game but short on skills Archak Ter Meliksetian over ten rounds of quick paced action.

Powell, a slick southpaw with good mechanics, rarely missed the target from start to finish as he scored with jabs and quick straight left hands, coupled with accurate counter right hooks - the Armenian made things interesting as he walked through the fire while in search of a "Hail Mary" right hand ending.

After ten stanzas of repetitious Powell dart shooting it went to the score cards with Powell the unanimous winner 100-90, 97-93, 97-93 - my unofficial saw it all Powell 99-91 in points and 9-1 under round by round method.

Post Scripts ~ Sechew Powell: Will likely earn spot in jr. middle rankings off  impressive boxing performance. Caution light: while displaying a number of positives last noche, he was in with tailor-made opponent in Archak. Definitely not at this point serious title consideration.

Ter Meliksetian (15-2, 12 KOs): Showed heart and willingness … short on style and technique. Says here is stamped career club fighter.

Allen Green: Good size at 6' 2" … half step up the ladder should reveal a bit more of what lies ahead. The left hook may or may not be what it came across last nite. If the clout is legit, this age 26 could be one to watch. Jury still out.

Jaidon Codrington( 9-1, 9 KOs): Tough and scary way for the bubble to burst as it did. When will they learn 9-0 is a won and loss statistic and not some sort of a smoking iron brand of future champion. Hopefully, the post-fite circus act of followers will now leave the sinking ship as rats are known to do.
