"Relentless" Lamon Brewster quickly brought it to Andrew Golota from the opening bell, and retained his WBO strap with a stunning three knockdown TKO blitz that took no more than 53 seconds.

Both fighters met at center stage with Brewster tossing bombs from a crouch ala Smokin’ Joe Frazier, while Golota faced the onslaught in a more erect stance. The Brewster hook quickly landed with power while the Golota offerings appeared lacking in potency.

For anyone that blinked, the second knockdown mirrored the first, with a relentless Brewer scoring to the body before another left hook deposited Golota to the canvas and through the ropes.

Still, the Polish veteran managed to beat the count before going a down a final third time from a curtain dropping left hook to the jaw.

Brewster now joins the Klitschko, Byrd, Ruiz third share holders of the big prize in what could well jump start some new life to the division. Other possible contenders includes the temporarily shelved James Toney, Rahman, Barrett and new kid on the block Sam Peters.

As someone once said, "Let there be light," or something similar.
