GATTI NEARING 'REST OF THE STORY'... by George Elsasser
Include me with the others that feel nice and warm when hearing of good things coming to the Arturo Gatti and Glen Johnsons of this demanding sport of professional boxing... After hearing Johnson as guest on ESPN2 boxing studio, he gets my vote for  regular on the show. Easily more than a step up from the past Maxie-Brian comedy act that converted to the today Brian Kenny & guest arrangement.

POUND FOR POUND RESULTS FOR ARTURO GATTI... by Danny Serratelli, ringside
Every time Arturo Gatti fights in Atlantic City, it is more than just a fight, it is an event, and Arturo is definitely a pound for pound ticket seller as consistent as anyone in the game. Boxing needs more situations like this.  Even if he loses, he will sell out the arena in his next fight and the fans know they will get their money's worth.

GATTI JABS HIS WAY TO A KNOCKOUT VICTORY... by Oleg Bershadsky
While Arturo Gatti is still known as the “blood and guts” champion, that description seems to no longer be accurate or to suit his style of fighting.
Today in Atlantic City, New Jersey Gatti put on an impressive exhibition of his boxing skills as he out-boxed and outgunned the crafty veteran James Leija.

OUMA IMPRESSES IN JANTUAH WIN... by George Elsasser
Post Scripts ~ Ouma prepared and ready for whatever comes his way. Has the skills to compete with any of the top ten. Should remain for now where he’s at … find it a bit amusing hearing the "Ferocious" Fernando Vargas name dropping during last night’s action. Ferocious? Pray tell what year was that anyway?

KASSIM OUMA: HE CAN BE THE MAN IF HE BEATS THE MAN... Sharkie's Machine by Frank Gonzalez Jr.
If you were a Mad Boxing Scientist, who took the chin of Arturo Gatti, the athleticism of Cory Spinks, the tenacity of Erik Morales and the ring generalship of Bernard Hopkins, shook it all up, cast it in a mold and baked it—you might end up with a Kassim Ouma.

GATTI TOO MUCH FOR LEIJA, OUMA ALL CLASS IN DECISION OVER JANTUAH... by Michael 'Lord' Pryce
Gatti was great last night but a potential fight against Floyd Mayweather is a whole new story. Floyd Mayweather is too slick and too quick for Gatti. Gatti can’t outbox him. As well as Gatti boxed last night, if he’s put in there with a Mayweather it’s a completely different fight. You can’t outbox the boxer and that’s what Floyd is.

GATTI AND OUMA LOOK SHARP... by Kenny Perrault
Jantuah had the right idea in the first round, attacking Ouma's body, but quickly abandoned the plan to head hunt. As early as the third round Jantuah was throwing one punch at a time, hoping for a knockout. The knockout never came, as Ouma got better with each passing round.

GATTI v. LEIJA, REALIZATIONS UNEXPECTED... by Xavier 'El Mago' Cepeda
Had you asked a boxing fan a few years ago who would be in the limelight of the Jr. Welterweight division, not many would have had Arturo Gatti or Jesse James Leija at the top of their lists. This would have been done with good reason, for Leija and Gatti are by no means new to the fight game.

OUMA AND JANTUAH BUMP HEADS UNDERNEATH GATTI'S THUNDER... by Chris Robinson
The Ouma-Jantuah throwdown looks to be a hidden gem among the many notable fights coming out of the gate this 2005. With guys like Gatti, Hopkins, Spinks, Judah, Corrales, Pacquiao and several others being involved in big fights in the new year it's understandable why a potential great one between the two African warriors is overlooked. Make not mistake about it though, Ouma vs. Jantuah looks to have all the makings of a cracker.

GATTI-LEIJA: WHAT WE HOPE WILL NOT HAPPEN... by Tom Dickey
With Leija and Gatti you have two of the gutsiest and toughest fighters in the world, but you also have the two fighters most likely to get cut in a fight. Numerous wars have taken a toll on scar tissue on their faces, and headbutts have been somewhat common in their fights, especially Leija's.

JAN. 29: THE FINAL EXAM FOR KOFI JANTUAH... by Jeff Mayweather
Jontuah and Ouma will have a chance to steal Gatti's thunder with an appealing performance, while making a statement  to the Jr. Middleweight division and the boxing world as well, that Africa can produce not only great warriors, but great Champions.
