German heavyweight Timo Hoffmann made a grand stand and won a lot of glory in defeat against WBO I/C ruler Aleksander Dimitrenko November 17. However, Bild Zeitung reveals today that Hoffmann, signed to Sauerland Event but with contract expiring at the end of the year, have tested positive to a forbidden substance. According to Bild Hoffmann's A-test was positive to a kind of steroid. Hoffmann, judging from other cases, could be facing a year long suspension.

Teak tough Spanish veteran Javier Castillejo is waiting for a a third fight with WBA champ Felix Sturm but is also the mandatory challenger for EBU ruler Sebastian Sylvester. It's rumored that Rimer Boxe, who promotes and manages Castillejo, wants the fight in Spain to be staged in March and if all goes well then face Sturm. There will be purse bids January 31. Sylvester makes a voluntary defence of the title January 26 in Berlin against Frenchman Francois Bastient. Should Rimer Boxe be unable to get Sylvester to Spain it's likely that Javier will just wait for the third showdown against Sturm to materialize.

Poland's former WBC light heavy champ Tomasz Adamek fights tomorrow in Bielefeld, Germany, against Croatian Josip Jalusic on the undercard to Cunningham vs Huck.
