Just days before the highly anticipated welterweight
championship bout between undefeated WBA world welterweight champion MIGUEL
COTTO and four-time world champion SUGAR SHANE MOSLEY, scheduled for
Saturday, November 10 , at the "Mecca of Boxing," Madison Square Garden,
both fighters addressed the media at the final press conference. The
12-round world welterweight title fight will be produced and distributed
live on HBO Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
Miguel Cotto
I have prepared hard for the last two and a half months to
defend my title. And when I leave Madison Square Garden after Saturday
night, I'm going back to Puerto Rico with my title.
The people at Madison Square Garden always make me feel at
home. I'm excited to put on a great show for them and all of my fans. On paper this is the toughest challenge of my career, but we
are going to have to wait until Saturday to see if it really will be.
Evangelista Cotto
It has been two and a half months of very tough training, and
I believe Miguel is in the best condition he has ever been in for a fight.
We understand the magnitude of the fight. We are prepared to go twelve
furious rounds if necessary. I know in my heart that we will return to
Puerto Rico with the championship.

November 10th, when Cotto and Mosley square off,
will be a night for boxing to shine, and a night for everyone associated
with boxing to be proud of.

in the legendary Madison Square Garden. I wish we could fight right now, I'm
ready. It's going to be electrifying, there are going to be fireworks
everywhere.
