CHILDERS PROMOTIONS AND BILLY REESE IN ASSOCIATION WITH ELITE FITNESS AND CRAWFORD DOOR AND DOCK PRESENTS "FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS" MAY 16

Childers Promotions and Billy Reese presents an evening of eight professional boxing bouts on Friday, May 16th at The Metro Sports Center, 5820 Metro Center Dr. The main event features an 8 round WBF Light Middleweight Title Fight between St. Louis' Brandon Buae (8-2, 8 KO's) and Keon Johnson (6-1, 4 KO's) of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Two local favorites make their ring return including Jimmy Campbell (10-2, 7 KO's). The England native now residing in Evansville made an immediate impact on the boxing world with a relentless forward charge that always makes for entertaining fights. What makes all of his accomplishments in the ring even more impressive is what Campbell has been doing outside of the ring at the same time. He is currently visiting juvenile detention centers mentoring and inspiring youth. Campbell will fight Shane Gierke of Columbus, Ohio in a six round bout.   

Henderson Kentucky native and former International Boxing Association Featherweight Champ Daniel "The Sandman" Maldonado makes his ring return after a two year layoff against Damon Antoine of Ohio in a four round bout.

Four time Indiana Golden Glove Amateur Champion David Thomas (4-0-2, 4 KO's) will fight a rematch against Jason Jordan of Columbus, OH.

Ukraine's Anatoilly Dudchenko (3-1, 3 KO's) will fight St. Louis Chris Eppley (5-0, 5 KO's) in a six round bout and local Heavyweight boxer and trainer Danny Thomas will fight a four round bout against TBA.

Light Heavyweight Corey Washington (1-1, 1 KO) of Lexington KY vs. Walter Foster of St. Louis (2-0, 2 KO's) will fight a 4 round bout.    

Weigh ins will be open to the public.

The event will be held Thursday, May 15th, at RiRa's Irish Pub in the new Casino Aztar Entertainment District at 6:30 p.m.
