Unbeaten "Son of a Legend," junior middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (36-0-1, 29 KOs) scored a ninth round TKO over previously unbeaten Tobia Giuseppe Loriga (24-1-1, 6 KOs) on Saturday night at the Plaza de Toros Juriquilla in Querétaro, Mexico. Chavez scored a knockdown in the second round. He continued to slowly break down the Italian. After a Chavez barrage in the ninth, Loriga took a knee and watched referee Guadalupe Garcia count him out. Official time was 1:47.

In other action Hector Camacho Jr. scored a unanimous decision win over Kenny Kost in an eight-rounder.

Super Bantamweight Bernabe Concepcion scored a second round TKO over Torrence Daniels. The fight was scheduled for ten.

Orlando Salido stopped Renan Acosta in four rounds of a scheduled ten.

An unpopular unanimous decision was awarded to the other Chavez, Omar Chavez, who faced Marco Nazareth in a scheduled four rounder.
