BREWSTER'S WIN GOOD FOR HEAVYWEIGHT PICTURE... by Jim Amato
Lamon Brewster's one round blitz over Andrew Golota to retain his W.B.O. heavyweight title did a lot to hopefully spark a dull period in heavyweight history... Now the fans are left to wonder who the new "baddest man on the planet" is.

BREWSTER vs GOLOTA: DON'T BLINK!... by Mike Leanardi, ringside
"Don't Blink" read a sign a Lamon Brewster supporter held in the crowd on Saturday, the sign's implied message could not have been truer.

BRIGGS vs ADAMEK: AN EXPLOSIVE AND EXCITING CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT... by Darren Yates, from Down Under
On the undercard of Lamon Brewster’s annihilation of Andrew Golota, my prediction of the vacant WBC Light Heavyweight championship contested between Paul Briggs and Tomasz Adamek being potentially a sleeper bout that could be very explosive and exciting certainly became a reality. Only one problem, my prediction of Paul Briggs being victorious did not become a reality. A bigger issue with this fight was the sheer stupidity of HBO by not televising this bout in the USA; fight fans missed out on a superb championship bout.

LAMON 'RELENTLESS' BREWSTER... Sharkie's Machine by Frank Gonzalez Jr.
The Klitschkos are big on avenging each other’s losses so the drama is already built in—especially now that Brewster showed a little ferocity that lends some legitimacy to his WBO Title and a reason for fans to understand why he calls himself, “Relentless.”

QUOTES FROM GOLOTA, BREWSTER AND UNDERCARD PARTICIPANTS
Golota: “I understand why they had to stop the fight, but I wanted to continue. I cannot believe this happens to me every decade (Referring to Lennox Lewis stopping Golota during the 1990’s), maybe its time for me to think about leaving boxing."

BREWSTER DEMOLISHES GOLOTA IN 1ST ROUND TO RETAIN HIS WBO TITLE... by Oleg Bershadsky
I always found it remarkable how a boxer can seem like two completely different people from one fight to the next. Lamon Brewster, who looked unmotivated and average in his last fight against Kali Meehan appeared to be a man possessed this Saturday night, as he stepped into the ring against Andrew Golota.

BREWSTER STOPS GOLOTA IN ONE... by George Elsasser
"Relentless" Lamon Brewster quickly brought it to Andrew Golota from the opening bell, and retained his WBO strap with a stunning three knockdown TKO blitz that took no more than 53 seconds.

BREWSTER BLOWS OUT GOLOTA... by Jim Amato
What an upset... This was to be the coronation of Andrew Golota as the new W.B.O. heavyweight champion.

BREWSTER BLITZES GOLOTA IN THE FIRST... by Chris Robinson
It had taken Lamon Brewster years before claiming a Heavyweight Championship but it took less than a minute tonight to deliver a crushing knockout against Andrew Golota.

BREWSTER-GOLOTA FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES
Golota:
"On Saturday May 21, there will be a new WBO heavyweight champion. There is no question if I don’t win, because if I don’t win it will be over for me."
Brewster: "
This is my calling. This is my destiny. Ring the bell."

THE RUN CONTINUES WITH BREWSTER-GOLOTA... by Chris Robinson
Brewster-Golota is, if anything, a very interesting match up that could go either way. Both guys can punch a bit and the advantages they have over each other seem to be spread out, with Golota’s skills matching up with Brewster’s will.

LAMON BREWSTER: STILL HANGING TOUGH... by Chris Robinson
I remember first hearing about ‘Relentless’ Lamon Brewster in late 1999. Word was that the Indianapolis native packed a big punch and several had their eye on him as his career went forward. In May of 2000 I would get my first glimpse of Brewster as he met fellow undefeated Clifford ‘The Black Rhino’ Etienne on HBO’s KO Nation series.

GOLOTA GETS ANOTHER CHANCE TO SWING FOR THE FENCES... by Chris Robinson
In December of 1996, for the second fight in a row, Andrew Golota would be handling Riddick ‘Big Daddy’ Bowe in dominant fashion, only to lose by way of disqualification for repeatedly delivering low blows. In those fights, Golota showed awesome skill but also what some would call a fragile mentality that has held him back from winning the world title that he craves.

GOLOTA'S LAST SHOT, RIGHT? ... by Mike Leanardi
To say Andrew Golota's career has been tumultuous may be putting it lightly. Golota (38-5-1 31 KOs), of Chicago, is preparing for his fourth world title shot this Saturday. Thus far in his career Golota is 0-3 in Championship fights, yet he's hoping the fourth time is the charm. Golota, 37, is a twelve year professional who despite his bad luck and sometimes outrageous antics, keeps getting chances.

GOLOTA SHOULD BEST BREWSTER... by Jim Amato
Lamon Brewster is a game fighter. He is strong and he has a pretty good chin. He's got some power too but other than that he is rather ordinary.

ANDREW GOLOTA'S BEST QUOTES OF THE DAY...
Andrew Golota and his trainer, Sam Colonna, addressed the media today. The Q&A session followed a  workout held at the United Center promoting Golota's fight against WBO heavyweight champion "Relentless" Lamon Brewster in Chicago on Saturday, where over 10,000 tickets have already been sold.

Golota: "On Saturday May 21, there will be a new WBO heavyweight champion. There is no question if I don’t win, because if I don’t win it will be over for me."
Brewster: "
This is my calling. This is my destiny. Ring the bell."

BREWSTER'S SMOOTH WORKOUT... by Mike Leanardi
Lamon Brewster's media workout went smoothly as the WBO Heavyweight Champ participated in a seven round session on the floor of Chicago's United Center to an eclectic soundtrack, via boom box, of everything from Elton John to Snoop Dogg and DMX.

OUT FOR REVENGE: TOPIC TO TOPIC WITH RHOSHII WELLS... by Chris Robinson

In September of 2003, Jr. Middleweight contender Rhoshii Wells would taste defeat for the first time at the hands of Alejandro Garcia, and since then the only thing on his mind has been sweet revenge. Fortunately for Wells, he will have his wish May 21st as he once again squares off with the Tijuana native at the United Center in Chicago.

BREWSTER-GOLOTA: LET'S GET SERIOUS... by Jim Amato
Let's see...We are being led to believe that on May 21st in Chicago there will be a contest for the heavyweight championship of the world. Jack, Joe and Rocky must be spinning in their graves! On that date Lamon Brewster will defend his bogus W.B.O. heavyweight title against long time challenger Andrew Golota.

GOLOTA AND BREWSTER MEET THE PRESS IN CHICAGO
"Brewster beat one of the best heavyweights out there—Klitschko.  But this time I can’t leave it in the judges’ hands.  I will knock Lamon Brewster out.”

THREE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHTS AND MUCH MORE ON SATURDAY, MAY 21, FROM CHICAGO'S UNITED CENTER
World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion “Relentless” Lamon Brewster will defend his crown against Andrew “Powerful Pole” Golota when Chicago hosts its first heavyweight world title fight in 24 years on Saturday at the United Center.

PAUL BRIGGS vs TOMASZ ADAMEK: A FIGHT MORE INTERESTING THAN THE NAMES SUGGEST... by Darren Yates
Over the last couple of years Paul Briggs had been fairly calm and balanced in his interviews with various journalists. However, some of the quotes I have been reading leading up to this bout lead me to believe he is preparing to unleash all hell on Adamek to win this title. Briggs is an ex-kick boxer who has fought under Muai Thai rules where elbows and knees are used and he fought many of these fights in Thailand against locals, with a very hostile crowd chanting for his blood.
