READY FOR WAR

'Every fight you fight is a dirty fight", said Hopkins. "I never heard of clean fight in my life. Fighting is not clean. Look in the dictionary. When guys are desperate, some people bite someone's head off, hit in the back of the head, or hit when someone's down. Whatever he brings to the table, I'm ready to bring to the table. If he draws first blood, I'm gonna draw second blood. Whatever he wants to do, I'm ready for it. You won't hear me saying to the referee, 'Did you see that?' You won't hear me bitching, whatever he does. But I guarantee you will hear protests out of him. If people are betting that I'm going to get DQ'ed, they are going to lose their money."

ON TITO'S EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY:

"I don't care about his situation," said Hopkins about the recent revelation of an extramarital affair between Trinidad and a Puerto Rican model. "I don't care if his cat got hit by a car. I don't care if his fish died because he didn't feed them. I don't care nothing about Trinidad's personal life right now. What I care about is September 15. Whatever his personal life, I hope it's motivation for him to come in there and fight like a true champion that y'all say he is. That's his problem, not mine. I'm happily married. I have one daughter, my only daughter; one family, and that's all I want."

PREDICTING A WINNER:

"His (Trinidad's) biggest attribute is not his overall ability; it's his heart and his will and determination," said Hopkins. "He won't quit. The referee or Papa Trinidad is going to have to save him. I'm going to win on a TKO. I would prefer a KO, but his heart is going to lead him to the point where he is going to take so much pain and abuse, and it's going to look so easy, that people will be shocked."
