LACY CATCHES WIGGINS IN CANDLE 8

Was no surprise that Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy continued unbeaten ... nor that the bout ended via the knockout route ... I mean the guy is a proven puncher ... what did raise an eyebrow or two was the job being turned in by Donnell "Cadillac" Wiggins over the first seven chapters ... he can box a bit.

Lacy pressed the action throughout but the lighter punching Wiggins showed the quicker hands and more than a few viewers had the 23 year old ahead entering number eight.

Was just over the midway mark of candle eight when Lacy ripped a hurting left hook to the body ... seeing Wiggins backing to the ropes he then landed a monster overhand right that dropped a game but finished Donnell ... enters the books as TKO at 2:33 mark.

Good win for Lacy who now deserves serious consideration with the current 168 pound title claimants.

PS: Excellent job by all competitors ... ditto work of referee Richie Davies ... also Showtime has well earned a curtsy for an action card free of any PPV stigma.
